Best distance ed ever!
This uni is cleverly geared up to deal with the difficult issue of delivering a quality education that distance ed students can resonate with online.
One of the major problems with distance ed, can be the sense of not being included, not feeling a part of the university environment, or worse - knowing that the lecture has been developed for those students lucky enough to attend in person.
CSU are not doing that.
They are to be congratulated for not doing that.
I am respected as a student, an online student, I'm just, you know, doing it on the computer for my reasons, and...they offer a brilliant, lecturer who isn't speaking to some strange large lecture group of people, whose audio you might feel privileged to have been a part of. Nope! My lovely lecturer is speaking to the ONLINE students. I am part of THAT environment. Not tacked on the end of some other service (see my other reviews on uni if you want more info...)

Sorry - no way. Can't recommend!
I'm a postgrad student, and I've studied at a few different unis around Aus. Right now, as a distant student, I can only say, this place needs to improve. It won't improve in the time I would need it to (ie, in a current semester)
They offer distance ed courses, but in reality, its more like, "well, ummm, ...we kinda do offer distance, sure, take your money, absolutely...but your experience just wow, doesn't interest us! Bad luck if you can't hear the lecture online quite perfectly, or if it simply doesn't translate... you know... in that strange online environment that you've chosen ...
Good bye UON!

Finally - beauticians delivering a facial that don't leave you for about 20 minutes to suffer some lonely mask!!
Yep - that's worth it alone.
Ok girls, if you're reading this review, you're wanting to know, can I trust this place, is it worthwhile, what makes it special perhaps?
Let me tell you. I've had a number of facials, across Aus, and this one, this one ALONE is the single place that spent the entire time with the client (me)! That means extra massage time, extra product, extra relaxation!! EXTRA VALUE!!!

Oh dear. Sorry Grape. Look at the rest of my reviews. I was really quite enthused about a number of places.

Unfortunately, this is a case of a brilliant product offering and concept, and some exceptional failure in service.

The service issue hasn't been addressed. I've been here a number of times. Why?? Why, you might ask, would a person go back, again and again, after terrible service?! Infact, friends and family implored me not to.
But...as an optimist, and a person really desiring an amazing array of wines, and a sexy salamanca based environment, I kept returning. Maybe, maybe the staff would change? Maybe the culture?
No. It hasn't! I have been here enough times to confidently tell you - there's something amiss in the service here.
Enter with care!

Welcome Small Fry!
OK, I'll start by acknowledging what at least a few locals must be thinking. Devastation that the previous business at this location is no longer around. But I have managed to get over that, and I would urge you too as well!
The staff here are completely dedicated, totally focused, excited, and serious about this business. It creates a buzz and you pick up on that whether you visit them through the sweet hole in the wall for some quick takeaway coffee and best-in-world donuts, or if you are lucky enough to grab a seat around the schmick polished steel island bar.
Every time I have been there, the owner has been answering questions from interested patrons about his intentions for the place. He's passionate, and expansive every time. I've just been a fly on a beautiful sandstone brick wall, listening and admiring the dedication.

Thanks for bringing a Melbourne style quality coffee experience to Hobart!

Sorry Hobart, I am an original Tas person, but the coffee here, the reverence around coffee, is limited to just a few small places. This is one of them, but they also manage to bring that little something extra you can't quite define.

The atmosphere here is gorgeous for a start.
The menu is inventive - yes! They expanded and what they now offer is a real delight.

Highly recommend this one!

Come for the atmosphere - and a well made, strong coffee!

People flock to this place. They line up outside on the street half an hour before it opens. They try their best to book a table before they are all gone. They linger at the door; eagerly, desperately hoping a comfortable patron will finally leave.

It's hard to define its magic. Perhaps it's the ever-changing, ever-enticing specials board, full of sometimes unusual creations that make your mouth water at the thought. The exceptional breakfasts are a given. My only criticism is a sometimes over-judicious use of sauce - not the tomato variety, but the accompaniment to many of the meals. It can on occasion take over and more subtle flavours of the main ingredients become lost, or swamped.

Mexican dining as it should be. No offensive big obvious meals here. It's authentic, fresh taste sensations all round. Tastes you'll be dreaming of, craving, trying to recreate for years! It's good... You have to be prepared to wait. There's no booking for smaller groups. But with food this good (and you'll get a good hint of the flavours of lime wafting down the stairs as you linger) your tastebuds will be salivating and left truly satiated by the time you leave.

Hard to decide what's better here - the freshly made menu choices, or the impeccable and always friendly service? This is a place to spend time with friends, or alone if you just want the comfort of someone being genuinely nice whilst you eat really, really good food (and coffee). And it's food you NEED by the way. Ok, maybe, maybe not the pies, (but they may just be the best in the state...) but add a salad to it (we are talking about salads that go ZING!) and suddenly it all just works so well!
