This review is for North Ipswich Pet Shop, North Ipswich QLD

verified email - 20 Dec 2009

North Ipswich Pet Shop has been operating for as long as I can remember. We recently started a fishtank set up at home and attended the pet shop for some supplies and fish. Unfortunately a few weeks later we had sick fish and the pet shop gave great advice and suggested a product to help, even offering to test a sample of the water if we wanted to bring some in. It was right on closing time so the help was much appreciated.

This review is for Tender Centre, Yamanto QLD

The Tender Centre allows fortnightly tendering on pre-owned items. It works like a giant garage sale, however individuals bid annonymously on items, with the highest bidder being able to purchase the item. It runs every fortnight from Friday-Sunday. Anyone is able to bid or sell items at the tender centre, and it is great for picking up a bargain, like a fridge, tv, furniture or entertainment items. What you'll find is endless. The centre takes a 20% commission from sales and charges a 15% commission for buyers.

This review is for 123Inkjets, Caringbah NSW

123 inkjets allows online purchase of ink/printer related products. They are cheap and offer generic versions of ink cartridges or refills. I recently purchased new generic cartridges for my Canon printer. The coloured cartidges appear fine, however the black does not print black, but instead a brown colour. I will in future purchase the proper Canon black for my printer.

This review is for Conveyancing Works, Brisbane QLD

Conveyancing works is a convenient option for conveyancing, based on having a set price, with no more to pay for standard convenancing, with contact generally all over the phone or via email. However, our experiences were not all together helpful, as our conveyancer was at times difficult to contact and needed constant reminders to chase things up.

Wedding List Company provide an online and instore wedding gift registry. Couples can set up a list online, from their own computer, or choose to attend one of the stores if they live within certain major cities. The list allows you to add from thousands of items in their online store, from homewares, games, furniture etc. The list also allows you to manage the items as you like and receive notifications when a guest purchases something. The gifts are then delivered to your home on a date you specify, after your wedding. The entire service is free to the couple, unless you decide to have an online contribution registry also, which allows friends to deposit money to your account. This costs $99 for set up.

Approximate cost: $free-$99

This is one of our favourite local restaurants. The food is of a good, high quality and is well priced. The staff are typically friendly and the atmosphere of the restaurant is quite romantic due to the dim lighting and old style building. They do have room for large groups, but bookings are essential. Also 2 for 1 main meals on wednesday nights.

Approximate cost: $25

This review is for The Bridal Centre, Brisbane QLD

I purchased my wedding dress from the Bridal Centre. It was the only place I went to make my final decision, as I did not want to keep looking. Thankfully they have more than enough variety to find a dress for most. They have dresses ranging from around $1000 upwards, however you can purchase the off the rack versions at a discount. The dresses are made in standard sizes to order, and any alterations are to be done elsewhere once you have your dress. By paying in full with my credit card on the day of purchase, I received a further 5% off my dress which was a nice bonus.

This review is for oo.com.au - Online Shopping Deals, Brookvale NSW

I used this website for a lot of my Christmas shopping this year, as well as purchasing the perfume I wanted for my wedding next year. It was about $50 cheaper than I have seen it anywhere else. OO is super cheap and has lots of variety and specials. The products are good quality also.

This review is for Boulevard Gardens, Indooroopilly QLD

verified email - 20 Dec 2009

We considered Boulevard Gardens for our upcoming wedding as the venue was so beautiful and gardens were stunning. It would have made for perfect photos. The staff appeared friendly during our consultation and I have heard great reviews on the venue. The reasons we choose not to proceed with the venue is the price, as it was a bit higher than average, and the limited time between the ceremony and reception. It would have given 1.5 hours at most for photos and when you pay so much for photos, it really would not have been great to rush them.

This review is for Broadway Chapel, Woolloongabba QLD

verified email - 20 Dec 2009

Friends of ours recently got married at Broadway Chapel. The location of the chapel was convenient, however parking is restricted. The actual venue is beautiful and staff appeared very attentive, however there was a problem with the stereo and the attendant kept walking in and out of the chapel door, which looked a bit unprofessional and not so great on the video. However it is a beautiful building and fantastic for those people wanting a non religious ceremony.
