Great new Italian restaurant in Surry Hills. We had the antipasto platter at 29.00, which was for two but it is easily big enough for 3. Gorgeous homemade pickled veg selection, olives, cheeses and deli meats with the freshest softest bread with a crispy crust. Calzone for main with ricotta, ham and mozarella. Oozing with cheese on a doughy wood fired crust. Divine and so luxe. Service was excellent, everyone was friendly and efficient and really seemed to enjoy what they were doing. Highly recommend this place. Pizzas between 16 and 26.00 and they are a generous size. We can't wait to go back and try the pasta which they make on site.

The pho had an underlying taste a bit like glue - I am not sure if this came from the noodles so the broth tasted bad. Not rich an flavoursome and they added a dob of hoi sin sauce on the top which I did not ask for and the sweetness made the soup more jarring. I also tasted the banh mi here and was not impressed - again something not quite right. I wont go back and I notice that despite some initial interest as this is a new food outlet in Wynyard, the crowds are now much smaller.

Popped in for a pub meal and the steak was great, smokey barbeque flavour, healthy serve of chips and rich peppery sauce. Great kids deals for 12.00 including an activity pack and some great rollicking Irish Music being performed. Best steak I have eaten in a while and good for kids too! Will definitely go back.

Went to this restaurant with a large group at lunchtime and from the moment we arrived we were rushed by a rude male waiter who informed us they closed at 3. He was abrupt and quite pushy the whole time we were there. The waitress by contrast was lovely - could not have been friendlier or more helpful that is why I marked the service up. She was a gem. Food was generous in portion but some dishes were really disappointing. The chicken in the lemon chicken dish was stringy and the beef in the rainbow steak dish was tough. I have never had tough meat at a Chinese restaurant before. It is always tender. The salt and pepper calamari was so salty it was almost inedible. Some of the other dishes were o.k but overall the experience here was ordinary. I have been here at other times, in the evening and the food has been good so either it has gone down hill or I was just lucky the other times. Give this one a miss.

Popped in here for a coffee recently, they seem to hve their own secial blend. Cappucino was pretty good, nice and creamy but still fairly strong without bitterness. $3.00 is pretty good for this party and although I would not make this place my regular coffee stop, I would pop in again. They also had a big pot of chicken soup on the boil that looked fairly impressive so I will certainly go back to try one of those on the next rainy, chilly day. Sevice was efficient and friendly. They also have a big range of sandwiches that seemed popular as a lot of people were ordering them.

Fantastic lunch specials for 8.90 complete with sides. The kim chi side is superb, great hit of chilli with a good undertone of ginger. I had the spicy beef and leek soup which was packed full of wonderful mushrooms, just enough soft tofu and just the right amount of chilli. We also had the teryaki chicken and beef bibimbab in sizzling stone pot. All were standouts, the teryaki was slightly different to the Japanese version - a little sweeter and deep fried but it worked really well. This place seemed to attract a lot of Korean patrons so I think it is the real deal and well worth checking out. I can't wait to go back again, 8.90 per meal with a selection of sides and excellent table service is exceptional value. Highly recommend.

Have some good breakfast specials here especially the ham and cheese croissant and coffee for 7.00. Service is really friendly and efficient and the coffee is good but could be a little stronger,at times. Only $3.00 for a small cappucino so good value. It is a good place to stop off and pick up a quick breakfast on your way to work and they also have some yummy biscuits and cakes, for a little indulgence. Very warm and welcoming atmosphere.

I've eaten at much cheaper Vietnamese places but this restaurant is nicely furnished, non alcoholic drinks are reasonably priced especially for a licensed place and the food is great. I had the sugarcane prawns and they were delicious and a good sized serving at a reasonable price. The seafood soup was exceptionally - beautiful delicately scented broth full of flavour but a little light on prawns. Crispy skin chicken was good but not exceptional. Overall a great experience and a nice alternative in Newtown. Would definitely return. Did not try the pho but it looked good. Mains vary and some are quite pricey. Sugar cane prawns and vermicilli salad was 14.50, soup 12.50 and crispy skin chicken also 12.50 (I think). These dishes were very reasonably priced and well worth a try esp the soup.

had the lunch special of spicy Octopus and rice in a Japanese stone dish so the food came out sizzling. It had a great hint of chilli, just a little over sweet, still good though. The best thing was the sides - loads of them and all delicious especially the spicy potato and also the seaweed salad. There were about six sides in total including a sort of jelly in soy and a bean sausage side plus lettuce with dressing. The texture of the potato was really unique almost like a squash in texture. Really good value at 13.00 so well worth the visit. Would definitely return to sample some more.

New place on Parramatta Rd, hope it survives - most seem to disappear quickly. Newly renovated with the sushi train as the centrepiece this place looks great and the food is fantastic. At the moment all plates are $3.00 each. They also offer a menu with a range of the usual items - teriyaki, udon, yakitori, tempura and some Korean dishes. I have only tried the sushi and sashimi which is fresh and tasty. I have been here twice and the service and food has been great each time. Really friendly and efficient staff. Each plate has 2 sushi pieces or 3 slices of sashimi. Nice place for lunch - it is already quite busy and they also do takeaway.
