Please be very careful not to order medium at this shop unless you want really HOT.....unbearable for us and we like Spice! Also, the Rogan Josh and Butter Chicken had the identical same sauce (from appearance when we arrived home) a really hot red colour and definite taste of Cayenne. They are generous with the amount of protein in these serves but we would prefer quality meals. Priced for economy. It was a busy day and the distance was short. At a guess, I think they make 1 or 2 stock sauces for everything. Take Care!

Fortunately, these people didn't stay there for long, maybe that is a good thing for people's digestive systems and Indian Cuisine.

A HANDY TIP WHEN ORDERING INDIAN MEALS:
It pays to know if the Restaurant makes their meals on the milder side or the hotter side, for instance, a medium serve may be too mild or too hot for your tastebuds. A good Indian Restaurant will have the right balance for mild, medium and hot. You may like to read my other Indian Reviews - one of them is a classic example of that!

2020 UPDATE: We learnt a valuable lesson that day, that it's much better buying Indian Takeaway from a Restaurant that does both, than a small shop.

Not too long ago, I noticed a different venue when driving pass one day and thought I might check them out another day. Not very long after that, they shut down too, when I went to call in. I had quite a strong feel that the new business didn't go well because people didn't dare to venture after the previous place - that they had jeopardized things for the next tenants of that venue. It was an unforgettable experience for us and it must have been for a lot of folk. People apparently associated that place with Bad Food because there is plenty of parking there and it's a nice location.

This Restaurant has a really nice atmosphere when situated at a shopping complex. There are plenty of parks....it is nice and quiet. I really like their butter chicken! Went back there on way from city and bought another that was great but the Rojan Josh was scimpy (mostly rice) and not tender. Could not understand why there were two different standards with the same order on the one day. My son won't give them a 2nd chance but said I could go back. I will possibly have some more serves - the lunchtime special - and let you know if they are consistent usually. I can ask someone who gets take-away there what she thinks. I discovered I can alter this review.

UPDATE: When I had a meal at a later date, the protein was somewhat fatty. They offered to make up for that next time - free of charge - however, I did not get around to that, so I'm not sure what their meals are like usually. From my limited experience, it is possible they are not consistent. I'm not sure, just letting you know.

Our Favourite Indian Restaurant! Friends invited us there for a few birthday meals and we commenced taking my sister there when she visits from interstate. She is a connoisseur by nature and really LOVES the cuisine there as WE DO. There is a really gracious Hostess there and her girls are sweet also. You will feel welcome and satisfied! Our favourites at chillies are: Med Butter Chicken, Med Rogan Josh and Beef Kashmirri. If you would like the best accompaniment you have tried at an Indian Cuisine venue.....you really should order their SAMOSAS...they are Superb and good value!!!!! CHEERS to CHILLIES......well done! And you always keep a High Standard. THANK YOU.

I gave a good review for this Restaurant some time ago after I dined there on a few occasions for lunch. I had such a really nice experience with the Rogan Josh, I recommended them to my son for take-away, expecting him to really enjoy it! Well, I don't know what went wrong__ Two times we ordered Rogan Josh Medium it was really HOT. I did specifically order medium.....and the 2nd time, I said very clearly "not hot, only medium, do please be careful"......his reception of my words was good, and attentive also. But we had the same experience..... again it was really hot and the naan bread was yuck. I'm not sure why the Rojan Josh is so different, it was fabulous before. Maybe it would be a good idea to go for a Counter Meal on a Sunday for $20.00 (all you can eat). He tells me there are 3 different dishes each week and accompaniments. I cannot fault their manners_ he is so Nice, so Polite. So if you like hot cuisine, you will like it there. Skip the Samosas!

2016 UPDATE: Sometime later, when passing by, I did try their Counter Meal. The 3 dishes are not so hot. My favourite was their BEEF MADRAS - Really Tasty! For some reason, the protein is somewhat dry, so it would pay to Be Early before the meals stay hot in the pots long. That's my advice:) Their Mango Chutney is Fruity Delicious - another absolute favorite! Some restaurants make it too sweet, which spoil it really. For Samosas, I go to Chillies (they make the absolute best) there is much room for improvement here. Their Mint Raitar is nice.

I wrote a good review in 2012 for this Bakery Café. I don't go there for 2 years now because most items are pretty pricey - of that, you should be aware - but they have some really tasty slices and cream cakes! Also, there are fabulous views with a nice sitting area outside and plenty of parks. The ideal place to meet someone as I do occasionally, like I did recently. I would like to say to them "you could well afford to bring some of your prices down. The slices are so tasty and a good selection but a family could not afford them". Having said that, I realise that some cafes charge even more nowadays. I would like to think that Prices could be a good Cafe for families. Maybe a Stamp Card would be a good idea - especially for workers who drop in.

We love good bakeries on holidays. We discovered this one 2 suburbs away and we go there for one of their Chunky Steak Pies and a Kransky with Chilly Flakes every week. They make a FABULOUS VARIETY of 1st Class PIES and have won an Award for the BEST Pie in the STATE a few years ago. Their service is Always Friendly....Nice Environment (tables indoors and outdoors). I also highly recommend their Chunky Steak Pies with Tomato and Onion!!!!!!

Prices Bakery have been well established in our state so many years ago that I did not know they were around...OR...made a 'comeback' until 2 Drive-in bakeries came on the scene not far from me and also a family member. These 2 bakeries are also Cafes...and...they have the nicest Pumpkin Soup available in winter months with a real-buttered fresh bagel. They also have an EXCELLENT DISPLAY of SPECIALTY CAKES & SQUARES and SPECIALTY SCROLLS made with FRESH APPLE or APRICOT. Nice CREAMY ITEMS....and Savouries. We don't like the Potato Pies because they have pastry under the potato. Some Items are overpriced, but the staff is friendly and the experience is good. They have outside tables & chairs. Enjoy your visit!!!

We have been to this Restaurant 3 years on birthday occasions with friends who invited us. You simply must try the SPICY THAI BEEF and SHALLOT CAKES.....they are favourites with all 5 of us! The staff are very courteous and keep informed of your requirements. I have read on another review site that the take way meals are inconsistent - when they get busy...but everyone finds there meals to be consistent when you dine there. We have had some TASTY BANQUETS......PLENTY OF ROOM!

Hi there, I'm happy to see one of our favourite bakeries on this Site for reviews. They make the nicest variety of certain Cakes and Savouries. We love to buy their Beef & Potato Pies with a little Cheese and Bacon Garnish the best. You know, you can buy Mini ones in trays of 6. You can also buy a variety of Savoury Pies, Pasties and Quiche 'cold from their fridge' at discount prices? The Staff are very friendly and polite.

Hi there, I never forget the Rojen Josh I tried in this resturant some months ago_ it is SO SPICY DELICIOUS....I would order it again even though I make my own these days....would be interested to try Vegetarian Dishes and Chuckneys also. I phoned them today to enquire about Dinner Menu and even found that they have a fabulous descriptive web-site! This man is also 'eager to please'.....do you know that they will even make you a dish from the dinner menu for lunch if you like. The restaurant looks fine to me. I just had to review this Restaurant when I noticed it on this Site. NOTE: Please read my other reviews because quality has changed. Our Medium Serves have been far too hot and we love Spice! Staff are polite.
