The food in this place is on the positive side of average. It is pretty much what you should expect from a pub meal, although the $5 tuesday steak should be avoided at all cost.
As a place to head out for a drink it is a great place with friendly clientele, and all the things needed for a fun night out. There is a DJ on fri and saturday, pool table and nice beer garden. Wednesday night is bingo night, which is about as exciting as it sounds (not heaps), don't go out of your way to get there on Wednesday

This bar is pretty cool, there is always a fun and friendly group of punters in there. The food is pretty good and comes out pretty quickly. The staff are really friendly and competent. If you are a B-grade star spotter then this is also a good spot as many channel nine people head there after work, there is always talk of Livinia Nixon being there, but no sober confirmed sightings.

The pot and parma for $10 is good value. There is always a meal special on and the good thing is that when that meal is on it is not just served at half size. I would rate the parma 7 out of 10, but for the price it's pretty good. The burger is good but any of the pastas are pretty average.
The service is quick, pretty much as expected from a pub meal.

The traditional pizzas are no good, poor amount of toppings, poor quality of toppings and at a price that one would expect to get a half decent pizza. The 'gourmet' pizzas which in this case should be pronounced "gore - met" are not gourmet, but do get the edible side of things. There are plenty of pizza places around so wouldn't use this one again. I write this with some knowledge as I went there three times because it is the closest one to my house, and each time it was the same. There is also a lot of attitude in that shop.

This is one of many, many restaurants along Bridge road and stands out, not really by it's food but by the decore and the environment. The food is good and worth going there just for the food, the nepalese food is similar to the indian food, but focused a bit more heavily on the spices and flavours instead of the hotness, I think it's great but some think it's a touch bland. Although the food is good it does not stand miles above any of the other good restaurants on bridge road. The service is good and the small restaurant plus the decorations/decore make for a nice night. There is even a samll souvenier shop, if you want to get something extra.

This is a coffee shop run by George and his brother Jeff. It is a greek coffee shop, that offers souvlaki (barbequed), baclava and beer, and coffee. It appears as an old man coffee shop, but the staff, George, Jeff and occasionally their mom, makes it a fun experience. The food range is limited, but fine. It is possibly the place for the cheapest beers in Richmond, but really just one or two before heading to a pub. Good for a snack, a chat or an afternoon drink.

They are good value for prints if you download them over the internet and then pick them up in the store. On the negative, the software to do this is terrible and about 20% of my prints did not turn out as I wanted. On the positive side the in store servie was good adn they reprinted them as I wanted for free.

They also match any price for cameras that you can find around the place, so if you do your research they will match the best price you find on the net or other.

But then again on the negative, if your camera gets damaged they charge a $60 fee to "look" at it which is non-refundable if they decide that the camera does not come under the warrenty, and they are not very polite about it.

So, I found lots of positive and lots of negatives about this shop, I would use them for printing, but would be hesitant about buying a camera from this store.

This cafe is on the northern side of the street where tradionally all cafes and restaurants are terrible. However there are a few very special things about this place. Firstly and most distinguishable is that the first coffee you get has a portrait in it, not just a half arsed picture of a clover, but a detailed portrait that is amazing and every one of them is unique. Secondly, the coffee is pretty good. Thirdly the food all has very strong and distinct flavours (good for some, overwhelming for others). The staff are also great.

Torch is one of the nice cafes on Swan street, you can sit out the front or in the little garden out the back which is a bit quieter. The kitchen is opena and you walk though it to get out the back, it's nice to have it this open as you can watch them preparing your dish. The chicken focattia is great, but some of the other dishes I consider ordinary. My coffee loving friends tell me that the coffee is very good

The food and service si pretty good, much the same as most places on victoria st. However for a function of 10 to 60 people the upstairs section is great. I recently held a hockey club function there, we had 50 people, the entire upstairs area and I ordered for everyone, it ended up being $20 each. It is byo and they are happy for you to bring an esky or two & the staff are very friendly.
