This mechanic does good work, however they are very very expensive. They know what they are talking about and I would only go back to them if I had a Honda and the problem with my car appeared to be a Honda specific issue
Approximate cost: $500
This is a fish shop (not a butcher). The staff here are happy to chat about the fish in detail and discuss options and styles for cooking.
The price is not cheap but reasonable and worth keeping going back to.
Approximate cost: $15
This place is more a take away place than a restaurant. The hand roles are good. The variety is quiet large with about 12 different types. I've had most and pretty happy with all of them. Favourite is the crispy chicken.
Approximate cost: $6
I have been going here off and on for about 5 years and recommend it. The hairdressers there are very good at cutting hair and for the ladies there are nails and waxing options as well, I haven't used that yet.
Approximate cost: $15
The pizza here is pretty bad.
It is pretty expensive as it is served by the piece, primarily to very drunk punters that are coming out of the Corner Hotel.
Approximate cost: $5
Hectors is the only 'traditional' type fish in chips in Richmond that is worth mentioning. I normally go for the burger which is good but the fish is good too. They also serve wok noodles.
They don't always get your order correct over the phone
Approximate cost: $6
As you may be able to tell from my ratings, I think this is the greatest bar in the free world.
The reasons are: there are couches everywhere for a very relaxed environment, there is and open fireplace, the meals are either Thai or Pizza that they sort out for you and bring it to your couch, the staff are great and entertaining, there is a beer garden, there is an underground section that is open til very late on Fridays and Saturdays, there is entertainment every night (except mondays) and bands on a lazy Sunday afternoon.
Approximate cost: $12
The original gourmet burger place must have been Fergburger in Queenstown in NZ. It's taken a while but finally Melbourne has got some good burger places. This is one of them. The burgers are good, big, fairly high priced but worth the money. Also, as a take away place an important feature is the speed. Urban burger are ready in about 10 minutes, it's worth calling up and by the time you get there the food will be ready.
The chips are also good
Approximate cost: $10
The food in this restaurant is only ok but the couches, relaxed environment and friendly staff make this place worth coming back for, OR more often in my case heading back there for a quiet drink or two (coffee or alcoholic).
Approximate cost: $15
The Wrap Shack has opened trying to appeal to the 'healthy' fast food crowd. The wraps don't have a great deal of flavour, the staff are not really that friendly and seeing how many other places there are around on Swan street I suprized this place is still open.
Approximate cost: $9
