The Sweet Shop has a real "old world" feel to it and the kids love it. There is a huge variety of old style lollies that are not found everywhere.
I love the caramel fudge bars they sell there and the range of chocolates, toffees, and just a huge variety of hard and soft lollies both.
A great place to take the family if you are in the Moonta area.

I have had mixed experiences with ordering and eating here, The Cornish Kitchen make a lovely iced chocolate and their milkshakes are delicious too, the Cornish pasties are the best I have ever tasted.. However I have had trouble with of all things, their sandwiches..I was given a chicken and avocado sandwich and the avocado was that unripe that it was crunchy (and horrible) and the chicken is processed and I was unlucky enough to get a sandwich of processes chicken fat and skin.
Another time my sausage roll was not cooked through, and still cold in the middle..and they have given me the wrong order a few times... however when they get it right they get it really right, and the food is lovely at those times.
I recommend the iced chocolate there though, it is always lovely!

They had everything from bulk nappies to cots and dummies.
I found the prices a bit expensive, but when we went they had a sale on, and some of their cot sheets were on clearance so I managed to get 3 sets for under $45 which I thought was really good value, and they are great quality sheets that are really soft.
Very convenient to be able to get all your baby needs under the one roof, but you do pay for that convenience.
The staff didn't really come over or approach us, or acknowledge us at all until we were at the counter to purchase our items, but they happily answered my questions and were very friendly while they were serving me.

This little Gelateria is hard to find if you don't know where it is, but well worth finding, they serve the best home made gelati!
They also have yummy pancakes and coffee and we stop in here regularly when in Moonta.
A real treat for kids and adults alike I highly recommend The Coffee Barn Gelateria.
The staff are lovely, and the prices are very reasonable, a must do if you are in Moonta!
They are open on weekends and most days in school holidays.

I ate here recently with my family and while the kids seemed to enjoy it I personally found the food a little bit lacking in taste and texture, considering the prices.
We ordered a pack with fish chips and calamari, our calamari wasn't very tasty and the batter in the fish was really oily, but the chips were cooked golden and crisp and we all loved those.
The prices just seem a little high for what you get, but it is a good family friendly place and the kids loved it.
The staff were really nice and friendly and spoke to the kids which made the kids feel important.

I love that Jetstar are always so reliable with their flights and usually close to , or on time.
Their ticket prices are usually cheap compared to the other airlines, I frequently use them to go to Sydney from Adelaide (and return).
This last time I also took my dog, and the staff were great with making sure she was given enough water and they took her for a quick walk (on the leash) before hand to relax her, I was super impressed with they extra care they took, have flown with pets on other airlines and been very disappointed, but not this time..
Would recommend Jestar to anyone transporting pets!

My last flight I flew with Qantas from Adelaide to Sydney return and I found their staff to be really helpful and patient, and considering I am not the best flyer this was important.
I like that the planes are always tidy and that they include a light snack on their flights, which is included in your ticket price.
The staff at the check in were also really helpful, I will fly with them again wherever possible.

We ate in their bistro area and it was lovely, the setting overlooking Moonta Bay was lovely, and then I ordered the Crab Farfalle and it was just so tasty and delicious, had some of my fiancees salt and pepper squid and it was so tender and nice!
We had a table of 8 and all our meals were served together which considering how busy they were was a nice surprise.
Great menu variety the kids menus was good too, the service was great the food fresh and delicious.

They also have a cafe and provide take away if you don't want a sit down meal.

The Adelaide show has a fantastic family atmosphere.
It is more commercial than it used to be, but some stalls still have that "old country" feel, which is what I love about it.
It can be a bit pricey, especially taking a bigger family, (if you avoid "side show alley" it may help cut the cots, but it is well worth it. They have a good range of stalls, animal shows, sample & show bags and the kids and adults both enjoyed it plus the food is always special at the shows.
A great family day out just make sure you save your pennies..lol
The RAA offer a member discount for tickets, which came in handy!

I have lunch here quite often I love the chicken foccacia here it is delicious! Last time we ate was fathers day we had the big breakfast, bacon eggs toast etc, as always the food was of excellent quality! The staff are usually quite nice and efficient. A beautiful place to sit and eat in their outside dining area overlooking the water and the Wallaroo jetty!
