My friends and I love coming to La Vigne for quick catchups over dessert or late supper. If it is not raining, I usually request to be seated at the back outside as they have small area catered for people smoking at the back of the shop (I don't smoke but my friends do). Lots of parking available as it is opposite a car park. They have really nice coffees and delicious cakes available. The size of the cakes can be bigger though. Staff are friendly and courteous, confirming our orders quite a few times. They don't close till late so it is a great place for locals to be hanging out.

This review is for Quay Bar, Sydney NSW

Love going to Quay Bar for drinks with my colleagues after work. Great place to wind down after a hard day/ week's of work. Atmosphere is good and I like sitting on the outside on those high chairs. Drinks' are price quite reasonably. Staff are very efficient in serving the drinks. The place can cater for small and big groups. Sometimes they have huge TV screens there as well. Just one thing on the down side is that it is right next to the bus stops which can be quite noisy and dusty.

This review is for Slip Inn, Sydney NSW

I go to Slip Inn for after hours drinks with my work colleagues. The place is always fully packed especially on Friday nights. The atmosphere is quite good and they have a small balcony upstairs as well, which I usually go there for a breathe of fresh air. Staff are super friendly and drinks are served very quickly. People who go there are mostly office workers (decent people) so it's quite safe. Just one thing I don't quite like about the place is that it has a very steep and narrow stairwell which is quite dangerous, only 1 person can fit at a time. But it is a good place to hang out for drinks in overall.

This review is for Bar Luca, Sydney NSW

verified email - 15 Jan 2013

My colleagues and I went to Bar Luca for our lunch. The place is quite small but cosy. Seatings are comfortable as well but it tends to get abit noisy during peak hours. The Atlantic Salmon was delicious for the main course, and my collaegue had the Wagyu steak burger which was nicely cooked as well. The staff are very efficient and friendly when I told them my salmon was still abit raw and asked if they could cook it abit more for me. So I am happy with the service. The only thing we didn't like is that they didn't have desserts on their menu, which we would love to have some after each meal.

This review is for Barramundi Cafe, Sydney NSW

verified email - 15 Jan 2013

We had a dinner coupon for Barramundi Café so decided to try it out. We had the Seafood platter with a bottle of red wine between 2 people. The seafood platter was quite huge and it has lots in it. The soft shell crab was very delicious and crispy. We had the mornay lobster which was great. Wish they gave us some salads and more oysters though. The chips were a little soggy but it was a delicious meal overall. The environment and seatings are quite comfortable and there is a bar area on the outside too. As we don't drink alcohol, the staff happily swtich the the wine into lemon lime bitters and cranberry juices for us.

This review is for Omni Blue Cafe, Sydney NSW

My colleagues and I always come to Omni Blue for lunch during weekdays. It is close to our office in the CBD so it's very convenient for us. They take large bookings so we sometimes do our farewell lunches there. My favourites includes the ocean perch fillet and the grilled chicken. You get to choose whether you like to have salad or cooked vegetables. The fillet is always cooked perfectly. Staff are very quick and friendly, bringing drinks to us straight after we placed the order. Food comes quickly as well which is good as our lunch hour is limited. We have a coupon buy 1 get 1 main meal which is a great deal.

This review is for Cafe New York 316, Chatswood NSW

verified email - 15 Jan 2013

Café New York is my favourite place for catching up with friends over cakes and tea/ coffee. I usually come here after my shopping or for my late night supper. The coffee is perfect and their cake size is huge, with a scoop of ice-cream on the side as well. I love the New York cheesecake and the Tiramisu. They have great deals in the afternoons where you can get a piece of cake and tea/ coffee for $6.90 which is really cheap when elsewhere sells >$9 for only a piece of cake. They serve lots of other hot food as well. For late night supper, I usually order the potato wedges and the mango frappe. I always request a table inside as the tables outside on the streets can be quite noisy and the dust of the cars can get onto the food, which is not good.

This review is for Mario's Pizzeria, Croydon NSW

verified email - 14 Jan 2013

Went to Mario for a friend's birthday party and I was surprised that they have a huge room inside which fits at least 20-30 people. Long tables have been set up and we had the whole area for our party. We ordered BBQ chicken pizza, salmon pizza and a few other pizzas to share. Their pastas were delicious too! Their salad size is huge and we didn't get to finish everything as everyone was quite full. Mario is BYO (wine only) so it works out well for us. The place can get abit noisy though, but we will be back.

This review is for Fundamental Food, Balmain NSW

Mu husband and I love coming here for our weekend brunches. I always order the big breakfast with mocha, which costs only $17. The serving size is huge, which you can actually share with someone. The breakfast and coffee taste great as well. Since I don't eat bacon, I always request to switch the bacon to ham which the staff happily do so. They offer breakfast all day so I can sleep in on the weekend and still go there when I wake up. Very happy customer.

This review is for Morning Glory, Haymarket NSW

I always come to Morning Glory for cute stationeries and gifts. The prices are quite cheap for imported products. I was looking for a Rilakuma bear photo frame and ear plugs for my little cousin so I went to Morning Glory to see if they have it. The shop didn't have it but the staff were so nice that they offered to put in an order for me. I was really happy about it as the quality was quite good. They have so many other cute things on sale also, ranging from clocks to music boxes, really worth to have a look!
