We went to Kam Fook Chinese Restaurant for our friends' wedding banquet reception. Lots of parking available in the Westfield shopping centre complex and the restaurant can validate your parking ticket if you enter the car park after 5pm - so parking for free! The restaurant space is quite huge and the ceiling is high as well, so it looks really nice with the decorations. The bridal changing room is quite big too. The food from the set banquet meals are delicious, the steamed live coral trout and lobster braised in ginger and shallot are really nice. Staff are efficient and courteous, delivering drinks and dishes quickly. My family and I sometimes go there for yum cha on the weekend as well, they never disappoint us.

This review is for The Republic Hotel, Sydney NSW

I love coming to The Republic for lunch and dinner. Great environment and atmostphere, although the pub is abit small. I usually go upstairs where they have more comfortable seats. I always order their daily specials that are on the board. On Thursdays and Saturdays, they have chicken schnitzel with chips and salad (plus gravy) for only $10, but in order to get the deal, you will need to order a drink. The meals are decent and delicious. My colleague always order the steak burger (with chip) which is nice too!

This review is for Wing On Tours, Sydney NSW

My family and I joined a 7-day tour to India via Wing On Tours. We had a great time on our holiday. Booking with the tour agent was very easy and hassle free. Everything can be done via the phone and emails and they respond to my queries promptly, providing as much as information as possible. A 1.5 L bottle of mineral water is provided daily throughout the trip for drinking, brushing teeth etc. as tourists might be upset stomach from the water in India. The tour guide is very friendly, professional and knowledgeable. The tour prices was quite competitive as well. Will be joining tours via them in the future again.

This review is for ECQ Bar, Sydney NSW

I always go to ECQ Bar for our work lunches as it is close to our office. The venue is great, overlooking at the Sydney Harbour through the glass walls. I ordered the barramundi fillet with risotto in some cheesey sauce. It is very delicious but the portion size is abit small. Other main courses my colleagues ordered are quite nice too. The prices aren't too expensive which is good. Our company has a 25% discount card at ECQ Bar so that's a good deal. The place is quite popular during lunch hours, you won't get to sit at the main dining area if you didn't book a table.

This review is for Searock Bar, Sydney NSW

My colleagues and I always head off to Searock Bar after work for drinks for winding down. The location is fantastic and the atmosphere is great - overlooking the Sydney Harbour. The sunset is beautiful. You can choose to sit outside or inside. They serve main meals as well as drinks. The portion size is quite generous. The drinks were priced reasonably and were served quickly too. I find the sign standing outside the bar quite funny, stating that the seagulls will swoop on your food, please watch out - as the bar will not be refunding.

This review is for Kansai Japanese Restaurant, Sydney NSW

verified email - 17 Jan 2013

My friends and I went to Kansai Japanese Restaurant for catchup over dinner. We bought the $29.50 per person all-you-can-eat buffet in which you get to eat all of different type of sushi, miso soup etc except sashimi and hot pot. If you pay $39.50 per person, then you get to eat everything as much as you like. I love the salmon and avocardo sushi and the eel sushi with cream cheese, and I had a few bowls of miso soup too! Whatever you'd like to order, they will come and take the order and bring the dishes to your table, so you don't need to run around and get up from your table. If you go there on a Monday to Thursdays, if 8 people go together, then 1 person is for free, thus buy-7-get-1-free.

This review is for Fortune Palace, Carlingford NSW

verified email - 17 Jan 2013

My family and I love coming to Fortune Palace for yum cha and dinner every week. Lots of parking available at the car park underneath. We love it there because the dish size are relatively larger when comparing to other Chinese restaurants. We are always so full that we need to take-away the leftovers. The dishes are delicious too. A few of the dishes that we order every time are the steamed trout, Golden crab bowl with rice noodles and the Gwai Fei chicken. They also give us red bean soup as dessert. Staff are very efficient, serving teas and bringing out food quickly. The place does get abit noisy just like other Chinese restaurants.

This review is for Customs House Bar, Sydney NSW

Customs Bar House is one of my favourite places for lunch during weekdays. They cater for small groups as well as big groups. Our department went there for a farewell lunch and they take pre-orders when we made the booking so the food would be ready when we get there, not having us to wait. I like their meatlover pizza and steak sandwich with fries. The dish size is quite generous and the prices are reasonably cheap in the CBD area. They serve all kind of drinks as well. They have different menu items at a discount daily on the board, so it's a good deal. It can get abit noisy inside though if the band is there.

This review is for Pumpkin Cafe, Strathfield NSW

verified email - 17 Jan 2013

My friends and I love coming to House of Pumpkin Café for catchup over drinks. You can either sit on the inside or outside. Inside seatings are nice and cosy. Since we have a big group of people (16 people for a meeting over a project), the staff nicely asked the couples sitting on the other tables to move so we can put a few tables together to cater for our group. I love ordering the Ginseng tea and Yuza Tea. They serve hot food as well. The prices are quite competitive. However, due to language barrier or miscommunication, the waitstaff brought out wrong orders, but it was all sorted out at the end. It closes quite late past midnight, so friends can hang around longer for catching up. It can be very difficult to find parking though.

This review is for Se Jong Korean BBQ Buffet, Campsie NSW

verified email - 17 Jan 2013

This is one of my favourite Korean BBQ place in Sydney. It costs only around $29 per person and it's all-you-can-eat buffet. They cater for small groups as well as big groups. You get to eat all the cold dishes, hot cooked dishes, cold sweet drinks and desserts available. The variety is huge ranging from caesar salad, potato noodles, Beef ribs, beef tongues, pork neck etc. We usually request for a table sitting outside as it tends to get quite smokey inside with all tables doing Korean BBQ. They have a seating time of around 90minutes, but if you keep ordering drinks (alcohol etc), then you can stay for longer. The place is always packed, so it will be better if you make a booking.
