I stumbled upon this cozy place for brekkie a while back and had the most divine porridge and chai tea. Revisited a week ago and the chai was mind blowing but the porridge pretty average. Also has dukkah eggs on menu which I would love to try and the café itself is quite large and comfortable. Will be back!

I went here with my partner. I was looking for breakfast and they only had 1 dish with a wild boar sausage. I decided to share it instead and order a chai tea. The place was very small and I had to keep swatting flies away from me. My tea arrived as a latte and I hateeee sending things back but I had to. The woman working there wasn't pleased but the guys were friendly. Finally got my chai tea and it was really nice. I picked at the breakfast and they use organic eggs. They were delish!! The sour dough was brilliant aswell. Would love to see more variety on breakfast dishes but my partner declared this as the best breakfast he has had...so I will rate it accordingly!
I walked by after a naughty stop at the Mc Donalds for a cheeseburger. Unfulfilled I walked in expecting nothing exciting but a roast equivalent to a seniors meal at the local pub. I was very wrong. The place was cosy and I ordered lamb with 2 salads. The gentleman serving was very polite, charming and helpful. I told him I would be sharing the meal and I think he took that into consideration as it was HUGE! Salads were yummy and roast hearty. It isn't close to where I reside, my only regret. Great value, food and service!
I've been here twice in the last 2 weeks. I went for brunch and although it states they serve until 2 its actually al day which is a bonus for me. I ordered poached eggs with different add ons each time (extra 3.50) so it is quite expensive in the end for someone who loves their food but the end result is great. Big plates and eggs cooked to perfection. I love the fact I can grab the paper and read whilst enjoying breakfast at noon. My only disappointment was the coffee. When I told how I like it I was told it would be double for the coffee. When asked why the waitress shrugged. It was the manager asking double though so I wont blame the waitresses. The location and food though I really like so I do give this 4 stars even tough the service could improve.
Every Thurs and Fri we go for brunch. I love trying new places and was especially looking forward to Oli & Ari. I had my eye on the Armenian breakfast pizza but I usually have poached eggs. Upon entering I think the owners were having a smoko outside. Inside staff were aloof and I didn't feel welcome. I sat in the most uncomfortable seats and had to move. The clientele were older women (mothers I presume) who lived in the area (you can hear whole convos here)...they like to get their hair done and pick at food. I love my food and I was here with the sole purpose of eating every bit...I ordered the pizza after asking about it and partner ordered a breakfast salad.
My pizza was not was I envisioned having had traditional Armenian food and it was just fatty and dripping with oil. The waiter had served it to my male partner so it was uncomfortable to have the 'oh I assumed as there was a salad it was for a lady'...anyway after that awkward moment I looked a his dish. Mint and other TINY bits of string green stuff with 1 poached egg. And it cost so much! I was flabbergasted. I couldn't eat the pizza, we swapped plates. The staff especially owners/managers NEED t be more inviting. The food quantity and price not good at all. I can see they want to attract a certain type of customers but this was a disappointment for me. Went out for coffee somewhere else after this and had a sandwich!

Most places shut at 3 for breakfast and they were open until 3.30. It was by accident we walked in but were pleasently surprised! Ordered poached eggs on sourdough with beans and mushrooms. Eggs were perfect and the beans were OK. The chai was lovely and the coffee I had was made by the young girl so not that great. I did however like the service and will be back!
I never knew this place existed until we passed it going for a run at Braeside park. Breakfast had finished, we were 1 minute late so that was dissapointing as we love the late breakfasts! Ordered a chai tea and latte as I didnt want to fill up on wedges or hot chips. Could do with a menu overhaul (with lunch) I read on here with interest that the owner is Armenian? If so I think it would be great for them to include some inspired cuisine. Something simple like stuffed vine leaves or tomatoes with breakfast...lentil soups would be healthy for lunch, baklava not so healthy but yumm...anyway clever marketing...we are looking to open a cafe and would like something similar to this. I like my chai prepared this one wasn't and the coffee was so so. I do like the fact that you look over the lake. Would prefer table service. Will give it another go before 2.
We came here for a few drinks on a Friday night. It was very busy and full of people. The drink prices were very cheap and I loved the atmosphere! The only terrible thing is running into the patrons outside who are really rowdy and innapropriate after all the cheap drinks. Would go again with a bigger group to feel safer!
The breakfast here was large and I enjoyed the surroundings. It is also meant to be organic which is a huge plus for me. I want to go there again for dinner or lunch, great find!
I used to come here often over 10 years ago. It was so homely and nice staff were friendly and food delish. When my mother was in hospital close by we would always grab takeaway for her. It had been over 6 years since I had visited this establishment again but I wanted to show my partner where I used to go often. The first time I took him the food was terrible and service wasnt genuine anymore but I thought it was a bad day as it wasn't busy. My partner wanted to take me again, this time we went on a Friday and booked a table. It was such a dissapointment. My partner didn't touch his pasta as it was literally floating in olive oil. I shared my meal but it was awful...it wasnt even cooked properly so we gingerley picked at the salad. They could see our plates were full but didnt offer anything just stated they are busy with a function coming up. I had to ask if it was the same owners? Back in the day the chef would come out and share a port...it used to be so friendly! Apparantly same owners but the food is now awful not made with passion anymore, the service that was once so friendly is now as drab and fake as theur fake flowers. I absolutely hate writing this review as it was such a loved place but I did send them a long email about everything that went on and how it used to be,,,with no reply at all. They have let themselves go unfortunately.
