I have being going here for years even when they were located in the old building.
This is without a doubt the best mixed gym in Darwin. The new gym suffers from being smaller than the old one and so there are fewer 1 hour classes and the weights room is smaller.
Despite this, the atmosphere is really good. Not many serious dudes and no show-offs. The instructors are all very friendly and professional. The manager, Chris, is very helpful.
There is a good range of classes and on the timetable there is a description and helpful advice about fitness level required.
If you're a member you can book classes over the phone.
I never feel like I'm a number. I also feel that I can trust the advice of the instructors and don't feel like a goose when I ask questions.
Another good things is that the instructors come in all shapes and sizes.
The showers in ladies' facilities are excellent and I assume the men's are also.
There is a creche that is supervised in peak times. I don't use this but it looks clean and safe.
A warm, family-run business. Not imtimidating, even if you're a newby.

Pretty good gym experience. I was an interstate visitor and got a two-week visit card for $50 which is a good deal. The man who served me initially was helpful and polite and the instructors in the PUMP class were very professional although only one of them spoke to me directly on one occasion.
The facilities were very good - lots of machines and space. No smell or crowdedness. Several classes running simultaneously with a good spread on the timetable. Well-lit and had a cafe inside and a creche both of which I didn't use.
The other patrons were the usual range of dolled-up mums, serious boys and gym-dags like myself.

Lovely venue and great food. Service was very pleasing and the waitress came back to check on our satisfaction.

I've given a rare 5-star rating because the girl who helped us went way over the top in her level of service. While on holidays, I went scouting for a high-end dishwasher. As we have a Good Guys where we live and I know they have good prices /discounts, I started there at the Warner's BAy store.
The salesgirl (Kristy) couldn't have been more helpful even though I told her at the start of the conversation that I would not be buying a dishwasher from that store because I was price/brand comparison shopping. She was only too happy to spend more than 15 minutes chatting about the features advantages/disadvantages of each machine and listened when I told her our specific needs.
Big bouquet to her. I will ring her manager to let him/her know about this girl. This treatment is especially good because I believe GG's staff work partly on commission or have 'targets'to reach. Because of her professional helpfulness, I have no need to look elsewhere. This is the type of service that keeps customers coming back and also saying good things.
The service was the best part of the visit with two waitstaff being very helpful and friendly. The food was good, though expensive. We liked the range on the menu but found it a little hard to read it was so crowded.
A nice lunch but we struggled up the stairs at the end so not suitable for the elderly, wheelchairs or prams.
Approximate cost: $15
The food was ok and we were greeted warmly. A little expensive for what we had and no one really looked after us during the meal (and we ended up spending over $200). The venue was nice but the atmosphere was lacking. Maybe experience will improve this.
Nothing special but I will go back to see how/if they've improved.

Yvette minded our two dogs and three cats for five days. During that time the little one escaped. Yvette tracked him down and left him with a (safe) foster Mummy till we returned because she was afraid he would escape and come to harm.
The care was exceptional. Very professional.
Approximate cost: $30
Our animals almost always get minded here when we go away. It's a family-run business with very comfortable accommodation - separate cages/runs if needed. The dogs have loads of space and are hydrobathed regularly. Each run has has covered cement and uncovered grass, separated by cyclone mesh. The cat area is cool with music playing with benches for the cats to get at different heights (as they like).
All medication is administered as instructed.
Prices are pretty standard but the service is really good. June (the owner) is very helpful and flexible and has allowed us to pre-pay small amounts to avoid a big bill at the end. Also, we have always found a place (as long as we book well in advance (ie beofre August). I believe they will also accommodate dietary requirements and do mind other species.
Hungry and almost lost in Canberra we stumbled upon this cafe. The waitress who took our takeaway order tried to be helpful but had limited English and the cook was drunk and verbally abusive to said waitress. We waited for over half an hour for two basic pasta dishes that were average in quality. While we waited, no tables were cleared (two inside the cafe) and it wasn't a busy night. Another two diners had their order forgotten so they cancelled and left.
If you're desperately hungry, then ok, but I'd seek out something more reliable and pleasant,

Everything went very well. I booked online and paid at the pickup. A GPS was provided (fee). On pick-up and drop-off, the staff were friendly and very helpful. Car rentals tend to be expensive but you know this going in. My only complaint was the very long walk to pick up the car. Had I had all my kids with me it would have been a problem. This is probably out of their control.
Highly recommended.
