Good to have a nice place to go for dinner that is NOT all the way in the city! Service was very attentive and helpful. Complementary soup appetizers were a nice touch. A little pricey, but the food was very good. Pork belly is recommended.
Approximate cost: $30
Good for a cheap feed, especially late on Saturday nights (not much else is open late in the area). The laksa was not the best I've had, but not the worst either. They have a loyalty card offering discounts on each visit, which is pretty good.
Approximate cost: $10
Don't see what the big fuss is with this place. The icecream is quite alright, though very expensive for the amount you get. Flavour selection is good, so Passionflower is ok for those who like sampling the more exotic/asian flavours. Not a fan of the Friday/weekend surcharges and the minimum $ order per person
Quite expensive (we would not have gone there if we didn't have our 25% Entertainment Book discount voucher), and a few of our dishes were not what we expected, despite our group being well versed in Malaysian cuisine. Service was a bit hit and miss. They got our order of boiled rice wrong and gave us chicken rice instead, but at least they acknowledged their mistake and didn't charge us for it.
Approximate cost: $18 + rice
Was a little surprised by the serving size - I had the gamberi pizza, which was huge and loaded with prawns - impressive! Service was a bit lax - not a person in sight when we first arrived, and we felt a bit forgotten after receiving our menus (we were ready to order within 5-10 minutes, but the waitstaff did not return for about 15-20 minutes). Not bad if you have time for a leisurely lunch.
Approximate cost: $15
Not bad for your local Chinese restaurant. Quite cheap, tasty food if you're in a hurry. Don't expect too much though, given the location and the atmosphere, but the food is pretty value for money.
Good, authentic Chinese food. Don't expect a killer ambience, as this restaurant is essentially a room above a supermarket, but the value for money probably makes up for that. Great if you just want a simple, no fuss meal in a not-too-busy location.
Tiny little sushi train in the middle of Stanhope Village, so don't expect a classy ambience. That said, the sushi is fairly good - try the crab salad roll. Also, the pork gyoza, though a tad on the small size for the price, is very tasty indeed. Perhaps one of the better options in Stanhope Village if you're after a quick and healthy snack.
Very friendly and attentive staff. Free bread before our meal. Very satisfying steak - one of the better ones I've had. Mushroom sauce was also the perfect accompaniment. Good view of the harbour from our window seat.
Best optometrist I have been to. Very friendly and shows real care for his patients. Has great attention to detail and quite cheap pricing. Usually quite busy, so make sure you book an appointment.
