TPG home phone/ADSL 2+ bundle (recent connection); previously have had internet only with them for 2 yrs.

The phone/internet combo is well priced, good connection speed (but that could be because i am very close to the exchange).

Customer assistance can be difficult to understand (due to o/s call centre operators).

Only major disadvantage compared with Telstra is that you cannot send faxes over their lines, and you do not have Home Message Bank 101 like telstra. Otherwise they are a very good service provider, and I have had stand-alone internet access with them for 2 years with only 2 occasions involving downtime/disconnections.

Overall very happy with their service.

Approximate cost: $39.99 per month plus set-up fees

This is not a review on the quality of their mattress as I have only received it and have not yet tried it (i will post in coming months on this). The store offered good pre-sale advice.

Unfortunately, during the delivery my newly polished floorboards were marked/damaged at the entrance of the bedroom. I noticed the young man carrying the mattress base leaned it against the floor whilst the other man on the otherside slid the mattress on the floor at the entrance of the bedroom, causing the corner of base to scratch my newly polished floorboards. They then picked up the mattress and carried it the rest of the way in.

I initially thought perhaps the marks would be superficial scuffs, and did not say anything to the delivery driver. When the drivers left i tried to wipe the floors with a cloth, but the marks would not remove. Additionally there were black dirt marks on the side of the mattress which happened when it was taken out of the plastic and placed on it's side and then turned over.

I called the company straight away and complained and was advised to clean the mattress with whatever is used to clean cotton- i assume detergent and water? (there are no care instructions on the mattress- on the mattress label it says you should call the manufacturer to find out how to spot clean the mattress).

As for the floorboards they told me to buy buffing products, however these have not worked as the marks have broken into the layer of polyurethane finish.

Company would not send anybody out the same day to view damage, as advised nobody available due to holiday period (though there were 2 people who answered the phone that day).

It has cost me more buying products to fix the marks which cannot be fixed.

Company went as far as to say they were under no obligation to deliver the goods into the house in the first place, only to our front door -as if to suggest they were doing me a favour by carrying the goods in the house (why did they not say that at time of purchase that delivery is only to one's doorstep? Why did the driver offer to install the bed for me when he arrived?).

They have said they will look into the problem in the new year, but at this stage I cannot see a resolution as their driver denies what happened.

Floor sanding company has advised there is nothing that can be done to fix the marks other than to re-sand and polish the entire area, which we will not do as it is too big a job.

Not happy with the situation, and next time I will buy from a major retailer that has the resources to respond to difficulties in a timely manner, a company that terms delivery to mean delivery into the house and not the front doorsteps, and more importantly I will cover my floors prior to delivery.

Approximate cost: $2500 for the mattress and base

Competitively priced, delivered on time. Though 2 goods needed replacing due to problem on delivery, however they attended to the problem straight away and organised replacement goods the very next day, 2 days before Christmas. They price match with major retailers, offer a discount for bulk purchases, free installation and removal of old goods which is very useful.

Installation of chrome semi-frameless showerscreen. Very happy with the installation and quality of product. Measured very well- good fit, turned up on time, and installation went smoothly. Installer took good care working in a newly renovated bathroom. Price was equal to other quotes received eg Betta showerscreens.

Will use this company again for my next renovation.

Approximate cost: $715
