A nice little Thai restaurant. Food is fresh, tasty and served with a smile. Worth checking out.

Lam Lam is a fantastic Vietnamese restaurant located on Northcote's bustling High Street. The food, service and value are all winners here.

A gem of a bar located in Westgarth, opposite the cinema. Atmosphere, service, range of beverages are all right on the mark. They offer a range of bar snacks which are also perfect to enjoy whilst sipping on the drink of your choice, however they are all cold snacks, don't expect the usual chips, wedges or pizza. And they are snacks not small meals.
Kelvin is the perfect bar in summer, spring, winter or autumn, streetside tables litter the pavement out front and a roaring fire is found inside on chilly days. A groovy little bar which is worth the trip!

A lovely little cafe which is well worth the visit. Rocket lives up to it's name, it is fast & fresh! Also innovative, friendly & healthy. I still remember my first lunch at Rocket about 6 years ago, down to the taste!

The cafe is quite small, providing outside tables as well as inside. I often see people ordering takeaway service during the workday lunch rush and the pace is always kept up.

I have been ordering takeaway - usually home delivery but also pick up - from Mint Leaf for many years and they never fail to hit the mark. A truly lovely Indian dining experience from the comfort of my lounge! The main thing for me is that the next day i don't have that 'i ate takeaway' feeling, i feel like i ate home cooking! Gorgeous food, highly recommended!

The Stolberg is a puzzle to me. The food is consistently okay - both quality and value wise, however, the atmosphere of the place is..lacking. I believe is something was done on this front it would have the potential to be a great pub. That being said i am open to revisiting later this year in the hope things have changed!

What a beautiful family business! The food is super fresh and prepared with such love. On my first takeaway visit i was served by the two daughters of the restaurant, both who were lovely and very good with menu recommendations (and adorable in their matching outfits). While waiting for my meal to be prepared i was poured some piping hot green tea by the mother of the aforementioned daughters and my meal was brought to me by the father of the family. What a truly lovely experience! I was so happy before i had even tasted one bite of my food :-)

It is quite a small restaurant and definitely more of a takeaway place but also not an unwelcome place to sit and eat, particularly with the family warmth/food love factor! Highly recommended!!

Cellini's is a nice modern Australian/Italian restaurant which i do recommend. I have dined here numerous times over the past 7-8 years and always have a similar experience. They really need to improve on a few things, however, the main issue being their service. While mostly pleasant, staff always seem to be unsuited to the type of establishment Cellini's is. . Very casual - reaching over diners, not bringing water to the table unless asked (which often doesn't arrive), lack of knowledge concerning dishes or specials. Mostly having to summon a waitperson to the table for anything beyond ordering food. This being said the food has always been lovely and there is an ample bar and courtyard (which is sadly under utilised at times). Each time i leave Cellini's i am satisfied gastronomically but left with an unsettling experience due to the awkwardness of the staff/service.

The Wesley Anne is a nice pub located on Northcote's High Street. I have eaten here a number of times and each time have had mixed feelings. Mainly as i expect the food to be of a higher standard than it is. I've never had anything bad, merely disappointing. Ranging from minor to large disappointments. Friends have reported their meals to be quite nice, so perhaps i have lucked out being a vegetarian with a lack of creativity in that department. Despite this i would go back to the Wesley (on another's bidding) as it is one of the few nice pubs/bars to lounge outside in Northcote for a casual get together.

Amici is an experience, not merely going out for a meal. The food, staff, atmosphere are all simply superb. Made with love :-)
