The 2 girls (I've had my hair cut by both) here are so friendly and the whole salon atmosphere is totally unpretentious - which I love. They never try to push products on you either. Their prices are very reasonable compared to lots of other hairdressers, especially in the area, and it's the only hairdresser I've been to in a long time that didn't try to make awkward, fake conversation with you. We had a genuinely pleasant chat and I left feeling relaxed and happy. As for the haircut, I was very happy with it (I have a fairly simple short layers and a fringe style, so not sure how they are with more difficult styles...but they did do a thorough consultation beforehand)
Finally, I loved that although my consultation, shampoo and cut was careful and thorough, I wasn't stuck sitting in the chair for hours...took about half an hour all up.

Same products but much cheaper. They don't waste money on having a fancy store, it pretty much just looks like, well, a warehouse. but medication is much cheaper than a regular pharmacy
The food was delicious and fairly cheap. The waiters were very nice and friendly but it wasn't very busy, and they still took over 40 minutes to take our order. I would go back again, but try to order straight away if you're at all hungry
Has a huge range of videos on pretty much anything, the only bad point would be that copyrighted material is usually always removed
Not as much product choice when compared to safeway but the service is better, I find the staff are generally friendlier, so I shop here regularly
I usually shop here for the things I can't get from coles (they have a bigger variety and a larger store). Fresh produce is usually fresher that coles too
Although the food is generally very nice, on occasion they deliver a dish that is unsatisfactory. And while they are happy to deduct it from the bill, it shouldn't happen. Very busy place, so you need to make a booking.
I've had some bad experiences here, but I keep going back, so overall, it's a good little place
This place has really gone downhill since the new owners took over. They get orders wrong, sometimes take over an hour to arrive, and three times I have found hair in my food. It's cheap, but it's not good. There are definitely other places that are better quality that are comparable in price.
The good points: The food is absolutely amazing, and there is always lots of it
The bad points: While some of the staff are very professional, some of the door staff can be a bit rude. Plus, you have to make a booking because its always packed
Cakes from here are delicious, they also do hot food (party pies, sausage rolls, pasties) which is usually better quality than most places. Great for a fast sugar hit. It's also something of an icon of the mentone shops
