Wow, what an experience! We took some overseas relatives to do the bridge climb, and couldn't resist but to join in and purchase a ticket ourselves! We were actually quite lucky as most of the day was rainy, but the sun shinned brightly just for us while we were up there.
There's a little cafe downstairs, along with the souvenir shop. Upstairs is the waiting lounge, where there's a clock that counts you down to the beginning of your session. Before you jump onto the bridge itself theres a few forms you've got to fill out, and of course you've got to get harnessed up and be given the safety brief.
The order you step onto the bridge on is the order you stay in the whole time, as everyone is linked together.
When I first stepped out, I was petrified, however as we climbed higher I was overwhelmed by the gorgeous view of the harbour. The glistening water and fresh air was absolutely breathtaking. Don't be fooled though, as it gets REALLY hot up their in those suits, so you are best to not wear shirts/pants underneath your suit.
Although its expensive, I would recommend this once in a life time to anyone (even if you have a fear of heights like me!)
Approximate cost: $200-$300 depending on time of day
Great range of sales, constantly changing but they run out of stock way too quickly which is a real pain. The discounts on items makes them ridiculously cheap. However, when it comes to customer service, they really do stink! They take forever to reply to enquires or complete a refund. I wouldnt suggest buying presents on here, as they take really long to arrive. What annoys me the most is that you have to pay $9 shipping for each separate sale category, plus 50c for each item thereafter. Ive ordered toys and puzzles for my nephew that I was really happy with, but also purchased some dresses, which looked quite different in the photo on the site compared to real life.
One of the best fish and chip shops in NSW. Although the food was great, we did have to wait some time before our order was ready. Additionally, there aren't enough tables for the amount of customers that come though, which is disappointing, considering their prices are quite high, and surely they'd be able to afford more seating. Parking around here is a bit of a pain too.
My friends and I stayed at Shoal Bay for 5 nights and were pleasantly surprised with the nicely furnished, spacious rooms here. Most importantly, they were clean. The staff were professional and happy to help with any requests. We ate breakfast downstairs and thought it was pretty average, nothing too extravagant. Its location is what makes it so special. Just across the road from the beach, we were able to go for late night swims, and enjoy the early morning fresh air. At night you can hear the waves crashing as you fall asleep - its so relaxing! We enjoyed lunch at a local fish and chip shop called Aussie Bobs (which I'd highly recommend). I'd go back any day.
Cinema prices- the way it should be! I see the cleaners go in every morning and make sure the cinema is spotless for customers. Staff are friendly and attentive.
A fantastic little grocer located in Norton Street Plaza. As a frequent customer I enjoy their competitive prices and fresh produce. You do occasionally find an excessively overpriced item, but usually by the next week the price has dropped. Inside there's also a Deli and a gelato freezer section (which is irresistible! They open at 8am everyday, except Sunday, where its 9am and close around 7pm.
Love this site! All the latest freebies all in one place and they conveniently list their expiry date too. It also keeps you up to date with all the latest competitions :)
Since joining soup I've been given the opportunity to test Rexona deodorant and a wide range of Nivea products. After notifying you that you've been successful for their product testing, they send out the product really quickly.
Lovely interior and pleasant staff. I ordered the Pad See Eiw and was really happy with the portion size for the amount you pay. The only drawback for me was how salty it tasted, although I do have a super sensitive palate.
Approximate cost: $12
I had a little chuckle to myself when I first saw the name and thought it was really clever. I was pleasantly surprised to see that the cleverness did not stop there. The presentation of the food and interior is amazing. It has a real great ambience. The Salt & Pepper squid and Pad Thai King Prawns were exquisite!
