Had dinner here with a friend on Friday night. Beautiful place, great lighting. Beer served in old school handles! (Which is great except these can't be bought onto the actual casino floor). The menu was really expensive, with a single burger (without sides) starting at $25 and upwards. The burger we had was the special and it was SUBLIME tasting, melted cheese with steak. All in all, a great place but too expensive.

Went here yesterday for mothers day. Was surprised at the prices when I first saw the menu, the mains started at $20 and went up to $40! Ordered a small ($19) squid. It came out nicely prsented with a unique chili jam sauce. Was actually worth the price. We got the beetroot salad as a side, for $10 is was actually nice and flavoursome. Gnocci for my sister was lovely, just the right texture and nice creamy sauce. We had carrot cake for dessert, with cream which was nice enough. Good attentive service, but definitely expensive. The cocktails were $18 each. Will be back as this is a family favourite.

Approximate cost: $30

An institution! Love the frozen cocktails. My favourite is the Coyote Ugly. Big portions and a fun vibe. Closes early but there's enough to do in the surrounding area. Always a good way to start a night out.

This is in my top 3 favourite restaurants in Perth. I love the creamy prawns and fair prices. Service is regularly above average and the menu is old but good. Love the buy one get one free :)

I used to eat at Taka's every day when I was working in the city. Best sushi i have *ever* had. Admittedly not really authentic sushi, but that's how I like it. Really cheap but not a nice place inside. No problem if you take it away and go sit somewhere nice and eat :D

Ate here the weekend just gone. The new menu was actually great! The place really is trying to become more upmarket. Although the website looks like a mess from the 1990's. So we shared the whiting with chips ($28). Fairly expensive but very fresh, nicely served (if you ignore the weird large salad that consisted of garnishes not actual salad) and lovely flavour! The chips were really tasty, oddly enough. This is my local and I'll be back.

Very much like a local tavern, complete with smokers smoking just outside the front entrance. Hold your breath when going in. I ordered calamari which was nice, freshly cooked but not an outstanding flavour. Had a mojito cocktail which tasted like battery acid. When I wrote a complaint email, I got a very personal reply but essentially just 'try our other cocktails!'. I told them that for a mojito to be a mojito it had to at least have a slice of lime and a bit of mint... neither were present and served in a MARTINI glass! If they want to do a variation on a drink like a mojito, don't *call* it a mojito!

On plus side, the lunch service was PACKED but very efficient service and food was out to us in 10 mins!

Approximate cost: $25
