This is an older store, and small, but it is really a good local store that provides a smaller range of products. They have some good specials, and fantastic bread. This makes up for higher prices in other areas. This is a very convenient shop, and the staff are usually friendly.

Very clean, very friendly place, that is open longer hours than a lot of supermarkets in the area. The staff are approachable, and the checkout operators always make sure they make you feel welcome. Great place to drop into if you have forgotten something for dinner.

Very happy to have added this place to my weekly shopping, it has saved me a lot of money. You can sometimes get a kilo of stirfry, that is to die for, at $10 per kg., sausages can be as low as $3 kg, and there are lots of specials, but ordinary prices are all very reasonable, and everything is lovely and clean. I love all the cheese that is sold at low, low prices and milk is at low supermarket rates too. Fantastic.

Approximate cost: $50 per week at least.

Love Sovereign Hill, we have moved from Ballarat now, and this is the kind of place you miss. The lolly shop is the best part of it, in my opinion, but the street acting and the mines are fantastic as well. Every time I go I stock up on candles which are well-priced and last a long time. Best fragrances too.

We bought lights here. I was surprised to find a chandalier that retails for more than $200 more in other shops here. I was very happy with the kind of stock available, some of it different to your standard hardware shops, and it is a place I will check in future because they have a lot of things you wouldn't expect, at reasonable prices. One thing I noticed was that when I went in with my husband we were asked over and over if we wanted help (too much), when I went in with my daughter I wasn't asked once, even though I stood in lighting waiting to be helped for 15 minutes at least. I got annoyed when staff asked a couple who came in straight away if they wanted help, there were staff waiting in the lighting section but only for couples! They obviously think that the only serious buyers are those travelling in couples.

This is our local Bunnings now. It has a lot of variation in staff quality. Most staff are pretty helpful, there are some very helpful older male staff. It is the kind of place where you're not likely to be asked if you need help, but it is usually available if you ask.

This is a very clean cinema complex, that is pretty easy going. If you buy your tickets online, you can just print them out on self-serve machines at the theatre. This is very helpful if you are organised, and during the day you may not meet any staff apart from candy bar attendants! It is pretty casual. The biggest cinema screen in Qld is here too, they have fantastic cinemas, best I've ever been to.

Very helpful sales staff, we were there 5 months ago to purchase leads to take cats in an interstate car trip. I had two great salespeople assist, and we came away with a reasonably priced collar and lead set for each cat, and a nice chat with some helpful advice from a sales person who understands the practicalities of living with animals.

Approximate cost: $40
