I gave birth at Pindara Private Hospital. The birthing suite was large and comfortable (or as comfortable as it'll get when you're in labour!) and the rooms were great. My room had a bench/couch sort of thing that my husband was able to sleep on at nights which I really loved. We had our first child so it was great he could be there for those first few days. The midwives were all so helpful and lovely. I will be going back for any future children we have and would also go there for any other reason I might have. Highly recommend it.

Michelle, the midwife of Parents 2 B is a wonderful person who made birth seem not quite so scary. It was nice to have the private classes with just her and my husband and me. She showed us some of the things that could be used during the process and had lots of hands-on things for us to look at and try as well as a lot of resources to give us. She was also very supportive after the birth and was more than happy to give me advice about weaning, even though it had been 10 months or so since I had spoken to her last. I really recommend her.

I did the Baby Boot Camp through MissFit and it was fantastic. I was able to train with my baby so didn't have to worry about him being in a creche. Kate and her trainers were so friendly and lovely and I completed trusted them to watch over my son if that was needed. I also lost 5.2kg during the 6 week program so I well and truly achieved my goal of losing those extra pregnancy kilos that were hanging around. I also made some great friends and now there are six of us to catch up regularly. Do it!

Dr Buckley is my GP and I really like him. I feel safe with him and I trust him. I always take my 1 year old son to see him as well for his injections (thankfully that's the only reason I've needed to take him to the doctor so far). He's also polite and friendly.

Dr Bopp was my obstetrician for the birth of my first child. He was very professional, but also friendly and easy to talk to. I felt completely safe in his hands and had complete trust in him. I highly recommend him and will definitely be going through him again when time comes for us to have a second child.

Legends in Photography did our wedding photos for us. They were just so beautiful. I really loved them and they were very nice and easy to work with. Plus they gave you hints on how to hold your head etc so that they could take the best photo of you. Compared to a lot of other photographers their prices were very reasonable too. I highly recommend them.

I LOVE the Buzz Cafe! I found the staff to always be very friendly, the food is just exquisite - best Barramundi in Darwin! The atmosphere is very relaxed and the prices are reasonable. The toilets are definitely something to check out - especially for the guys! (I won't say any more because I don't want to spoil it!). I highly recommend the Buzz Cafe.

These guys are located right next to the bay which is just lovely. The food is good and staff are friendly. We went there quite regularly when we lived in Darwin for a couple of years. I particularly liked the Barramundi on lemon rice.

I really enjoyed out evenings at La Beach while we were living in Darwin. It's a little pricey, but the food is delicious and the staff a polite and friendly. It has a beautiful view of the beach and if you time it well you can watch the sun set as you eat dinner. Gorgeous! Definitely recommend it!

I loved this maternity shop and found quite a few items for casual wear as well as for work (I'm a teacher). They also had a nice range of Maternity Evening wear and stocked some Hot Milk lingerie and swimwear. Definitely worth a look and it's easy to find - just down the road from Casuarina Shopping centre.
