Bellycan has a limited range of maternity clothes, however what they do have is quite good quality and classy. They stock brands such as "Ripe". They also stock Hot Milk lingerie and nighties which I love so I really liked the store. Ownership changed while I was in Darwin and the new lady was quite friendly and helpful.

Pina has beautiful furniture and homewares especially designed to withstand the Darwin heat and humidity. I love their furniture as it is so different from just your standard lounges and tables etc. that you can buy from places like Harvey Norman. The staff are polite and happy to help if you ask for it, but will leave you alone to browse in your own time. Definitely worth a look.

Cameo gifts is a great homewares store in Darwin. They have a particularly good range of kitchen goods. They also have really nice Christmas homewares, such as the Royal Doulton baubles that depict the twelve days of Christmas. Plus, for those cat people, they have some cute cat homewares as well. The people there are really nice and sometimes their cat is in the shop too!

I really liked Humidity. It has a nice range of homewares, but in particular I loved the kids homewares. They were unique and I found it hard to find other kids homewares in Darwin. The staff were very friendly and you didn't feel as though you were being watched the whole time which made the shopping experience much more enjoyable.

This is my favourite Chinese Restaurant (I don't eat Malaysian) in Queensland. The staff and always happy and polite and the food is exquisite. It's a nice little family restaurant, although quite popular so I recommend booking if you plan on going there.

I love my local IGA. The staff are so friendly and I always have a little chat with them when I'm there. They were also so very helpful when I locked myself out of my house once and left my phone inside it. It really stopped me from becoming completely stressed as I had a hungry baby with me (who thankfully wasn't locked inside the house!). These guys are great.

My time at Fernwood Darwin was fantastic. The staff made an effort to get to know you and always greeted you by name. The creche was run by two beautiful ladies who were fantastic with children. Although my son was only 6 weeks old when I first left him there, I never worried - I completely trusted them. The class instructors were motivating and always seemed happy. i really enjoyed my time at the Darwin Fernwood when I lived there last year. I highly recommend it to other women.

A good bookstore - large compared to normal ones, but not as big as other Borders ones. It has Gloria Jeans - yummo! The staff are very friendly and helpful. I was looking for a particular book and so they looked it up for me then looked on the shelves. When they realised it wasn't there they rang up the other stores to find out if anyone else had one and offered to have it sent in for me. I much prefer Borders to the other bookstores.

These guys are great - the only baby shop in Darwin (not counting the baby section of Toyworld). They have a good range and are willing to order anything they don't have in for you and they still charge the RRP. They also have reasonable delivery fees. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the store has a loyalty card where you get 10% off every purchase once you've spent $1000 in the store (which, if you are buying a cot is very handy!). Highly recommend Little Rompers!

I LOVE the pizza from Toni's! We haven't actually ever dined in so this review is purely about the take away side of things. The food is fantastic - absolutely mouth watering. The staff are always polite and friendly to us, however we were picking up a pizza once and the boss was having a go at one of the staff members which made feel a bit uncomfortable - I don't think it was really necessary to do this where we could hear him. But other than that I have zero complaints - best pizza in Brisbane!
