Great vet. My cats are like my children so it is very important to me in regards to where I take them for their health. I had one of my cats desexed there and both of my cats had their annual injections there for the two years we lived in Darwin. They were helpful and friendly. They explained what the vaccinations were for and recommended the F2 one that I hadn't heard of before. They also gave me advice on how to manage one of my cat's gingivitus (gum disease) as a scale and clean for a cat has risks so it's only done as a last resort. Having now followed that advice for a year my cat has improved hugely. He no longer has horrible breath and doesn't appear to be in pain when eating anymore. I highly recommend these guys.

Best bakery ever! It was just down the road from where I worked and I used to go there for lunch each Friday. The staff were always friendly and happy. They have delicious pies and sausage rolls and the BEST chocolate donuts! If you happen to be in Howard Springs in the Northern Territory, have lunch here! Mmmmmm!

This restaurant is excellent! A great atmosphere, excellent food and friendly staff. The menu is varied and the wine selection is superb. I may be biased because I know one of the managers, but it is just a fantastic restaurant. I highly recommend it!

This review is for Spotlight, Mount Gravatt QLD

The staff at Spotlight are very helpful, however the store is always busy and there are always long waits when you are lined up in the queue. Perhaps they need to employ more staff? They have recently improved the Party Supplies section, however it's still not as good as the one in Darwin. There could be a much larger range of decorations etc. The staff were very helpful when I was buying material and lace for a friend who was making a baptism outfit - which I really needed as I don't sew. The store is large and has plenty to offer, but don't go there if you're in a rush.

This review is for Blockbuster Video, Mount Gravatt QLD

Blockbuster in Mount Gravatt is well set out and it is easy to find what you are looking for. The DVDs are good quality and I have had no problems with playing them. The staff are very friendly and helpful and will look movies up for you to see if they are in and show you where they are if you can't find it. Blockbuster is also great for those of us who forget to return movies on time - they will halve your late fees if you pay them when you return the late movies. I highly recommend them as a video store if they're near you.

This review is for Baby 'N' Things, Mount Gravatt QLD

These lovely ladies were incredibly helpful. The store is not huge, however they have the essentials you need for babies. I went there to find a rain cover, sun shade and bumper for my Mountain Buggy pram. It was the 2009 model, but the company had been bought out since. They had the bumper in stock and even put it on the pram for me and then took my details to contact the company about the the 2009 sun shade as a different one is required for that model pram than the current one. They rang me back within a day or two. It was really helpful. They didn't have a storm cover when I looked but they showed me a universal one that was half the price and fit my pram well and so I bought that instead and saved myself some money. I highly recommend this store.

This review is for Four Winds Revolving Restaurant, Surfers Paradise QLD

verified email - 31 Jul 2010

My husband and I went to Four Winds for our anniversary. We really enjoyed our evening and it was relaxing watching the city slowly revolve around us (at least, that's what it felt like!). It was also very peaceful looking out over the ocean at night time. The food was good, but being a buffet it wasn't fantastic and the staff were friendly and polite. We had gone there, however, with the idea that it was going to be a 'fine dining' experience and we felt a little let down when we realised it was a buffet - we hadn't realised this. If I rated it from the perspective of a buffet restaurant I would give it five stars, however if I rate it compared to restaurant in the Surfers/Broadbeach area I can only give it 3-4 - I think there are better places to go. The fact that it revolves is pretty cool, though!

This review is for Epiphany, Darwin NT

Epiphany was one of my favourite places to shop when I was living in Darwin in 2008/2009. The staff are very friendly and willing to offer advice and help you find what you are looking for. It was the only store I knew of (in Darwin) that stocked brands like Zimmerman. It's not a huge store and they usually only get a couple of sizes in of each type of dress. However, in a place as small as Darwin I was quite happy with that because i knew I wouldn't go to a party and see everyone else wearing the same thing. On the other hand, considering the brands it stocks it is quite expensive, so unfortunately I couldn't shop there as often as I would have like. I do recommend it though, especially if you have a special occasion to attend in Darwin.

This review is for Myer Centre Parking, Brisbane QLD

verified email - 31 Jul 2010

I wanted to go shopping in Brisbane City and so first researched on the Internet as to the cheapest place to park. On the Myer Centre website under Car Park Special Offers it states that if you are a student then you can park there for a maximum of $8 if you enter after 1.30pm Mon - Fri. So that's what I did. When I left I handed the guy in the ticket booth my Student ID card but he said that the deal was only valid for QUT students and that I would have to pay $25. Nowhere on the Car Park Special Offers page does it say that. I was very disappointed and upset as I am a stay at home mum who is studying part time so I certainly cannot afford to pay ridiculous amounts for parking - I was just lucky that I had not been at the centre for very long that day. The gentleman who was in the ticket booth was quite polite and apologetic, but I was very unimpressed with this 'rule' that is not stated in the parking special offers page of the website. The car park itself was very secure and there are plenty of car parks.

This review is for Music Express, Upper Mount Gravatt QLD

verified email - 31 Jul 2010

I have had excellent experiences with both the music school and the two shops. I bought my digital piano - a Yamaha Clavinova - through the Garden City shop, I have bought music books from the shop on the cnr of Logan and Kessels Roads and I have had piano lessons through the school for the past seven months. I highly recommend all of these aspects and truly believe my piano skills have never improved as much as they have this year. I will be a loyal customer / student for many years to come.
