Love the Cat Clinic. They are always friendly, welcoming and helpful - even when they have an annoying customer like me who wanted a particular coloured cat harness! They were more than happy to order it in for me. Their prices are standard, their service is excellent and I would feel perfectly safe leaving my cats there for boarding, if I needed to (I haven't used this particular service yet). They are also more than happy to give you advice and obviously love cats. Highly recommended.

We have had mixed experiences with the Mt Gravatt 7 Day Medical Centre. The doctor we saw was extremely qualified and knew exactly what he was talking about. My son had occular cellulitis and he wasted no time in sending us immediately over to the Mater Children's Hospital who also said it was this. However, we did find that he was direct and to the point so don't expect small talk if you go there. There was a nurse there who was very friendly and the receptionists have always been very nice too. Waiting times can be longer than at other places, we found. So, in summary, we didn't find the doctor very warm and friendly, but he certainly wasn't rude and definitely knew what he was talking about - he was just very matter of fact. We go there when we need to see a doctor urgently or on the weekend, but otherwise see our family doctor on the Gold Coast. They do bulk bill kids which is great.

These guys are great. The instructors are friendly and great with kids. My son is a toddler who has only just started swimming lessons about a month ago and the instructor is helpful and shows me how to hold him etc for the different activities. The lessons are half an hour long and include lots of different activities to help familiarise the children with water but also to let them have lots of fun. My son loves his swimming lessons and his instructor. You need to pay for a block at a time, which is ten weeks, and lessons cost $14.25 (at least, for a toddle they do). I really recommend the Hibiscus Swimming Academy as I have nothing bad to say about them and it's a great experience for both my son and myself.

Approximate cost: $14.25

This review is for Hibiscus Sports Complex, Mount Gravatt QLD

Very happy with the Hibiscus Sports Complex. Previously I have been a member of Fernwood and FitnessFirst gyms and I believe the value for money is so much better at the Hibiscus Sports Complex as the membership fee for all three areas of the club (gym, pool and classes) is still about half what I was paying at the other two. The amenities are clean, well looked after and there are a variety of things you can do there. The only thing I think that would improve it is if there was a crèche for children, but I just go when my husband is home. Plus the toddler pool is lots of fun for little kids and there is also a 50m, 25m and 12m pool as well as a small playground in the pool area where the kids can play while waiting for lessons. I highly recommend this place.

These guys were very friendly and reasonably priced. We had a BMW that continuously leaked oil and although we had them service it two or three times the problem was reduced, but not fixed and we were then told that the oil loss was within the normal limits for a BMW. We didn't agree with this because we were continuously having to top it up. So we were a little disappointed overall as each time something different was fixed and we still had the problem at the end of it, even though it was significantly less.

We had these guys service our problematic BMW and they did a fantastic job and were also upfront with us in regards to the fact that the service they had done may not solve the problem and we would therefore need an engine rebuild if that was the case. It was refreshing to have someone be honest with us and also have experts in the field of BMWs do their best to fix the problem. The cost was a little high, although to be expected considering we went to the actual BMW dealership.

My son (20 months) struggled settling into childcare, however the staff were very lovely, patient and understanding and also very helpful in terms of tips and strategies to make his time there more enjoyable. He now loves it and I completely trust all of the staff there to look after my little angel. I highly recommend Little Darlings.

These guys are fantastic. I left my beautiful tabby with them for seven weeks when my husband and I went overseas. We came back to a very content and happy looking cat. The place was very clean and tidy and also spacious which is what I looked for - I wanted maximum comfort for my boy! I now have two cats and will definitely be happy to leave them with Imparra if we go away again.

This review is for Paul Trembath Dental, Mount Gravatt QLD

I will always use Paul Trembath Dental while I live in Brisbane. The receptionist is lovely - always friendly, happy and welcoming. Paul is a good dentist and gives good advice. They are also great if you need to get an appointment in a hurry. I had a mild toothache once and they gave me an appointment the very next day (I rang late in the afternoon). It was the same with my brother who had a bad case of gum disease and so his mouth was in a lot of pain.

A great hairdressing business. I found the staff really helpful as I don't know much about hair or what suits me. They were able to give me advice and I loved every hair cut I had with them during my time in Darwin (we lived there for two years). The only disappointing thing was that my favourite hairdresser was only there for a few months before she moved on, however the other girls were also great. Prices were pretty standard.
