I've been seeing Dr Rachael Collyer at this practice for a few years now. She is a fantastic doctor, very easy to talk to (even with somewhat embarrassing problems). And she is very gentle with the kids too.

When my young daughter was discharged from hospital after an accident, and I had concerns, I was able to get the nurses and dr to look at her at the practice within 15 min of me ringing, rather than taking her back to the ER at Penrith and a possible several hour wait. They were able to do an assessment and determine that yes, she was OK (well, she was still mildly concussed, but she wasn't deteriorating thankfully).

I absolutely love Monte's Pizza. We live locally, and are always on the lookout for great local businesses to support. Monte's makes the BEST pizza I've ever tasted. They know us quite well, and the owner (Monte, and his son) is usually there to say hello and talk with the patrons.

My 4 year old loves coming here. She gets her own pink plastic plate and cup. And sometimes even a marshmallow covered with choc powder from the girl who works the coffee machine. :)

The last time I was there was a Friday night and they had a musician playing guitar. Great atmosphere.

Be sure to book ahead of time, if you want to eat-in. They book up quick, especially on the weekend

I took our 4WD to Hume for its 240,000km service. I was VERY impressed. The guys really knew their stuff, and on top of the regular logbook service, they were able to fix a few other things that they noticed along the way (including the annoying rattle in the back door). As a woman driver of an off road vehicle, I've received very poor service from some other places in the past, but Hume were fantastic, and I felt completely comfortable.

We will definitely be back.

I've been a member of Go Figure for a few months now. I knew I needed something to get my lazy butt off the sofa, and this place is perfect! They have a variety of classes for all fitness levels, plus personal training too. It's a women's gym, and women of all fitness levels, figures and ages attend. I'm not a small girl, and normally quite self-consious of my figure and weight, but I actually feel really comfortable here.

They have a creche in the mornings for the little ones ($4 per visit) and I'm happy with leaving my baby there. The centre has a real family feel about it.

I rang the surgery one morning as my 4 year old had been up all night with a very painful ear. She had a really high temperature and was sobbing in agony. Even though they were fully booked, the receptionist was great about finding a time to squeeze us in.

Dr Yates was fantastic. He was so gentle when he spoke to my daughter and explained everything that he was doing. His bedside manner was just beautiful. He even checked her stuffed dog's ears too, just in case they might be sore. It put a smile on my daughter's face and put a lump in my throat. ;)

We couldn't be happier to find such a fantastic local GP.

I had my hair done at TG's last week and am very happy with the result. I went in wanting a completely new style/colour and had a few ideas. They took the time to talk with me about what I wanted, and persuaded me against the copper tones that I was first interested in. They guided me to a more chestnut colour. And now I'm very glad they did - the colour really suits my skin and eyes.

The only bad thing was the cost - a cut/colour/blow-dry/treatment cost $180 for my shoulder length hair.

I visited Faces yesterday for a eyebrow wax and tint and I am really disappointed with the result. Now the wax turned out acceptable (not perfect, but OK), but the tint was WAAAAAAY too dark for my fair skin. She used a very dark brown, which looks is too dark and is a completely different colour/shade to my light brown hair colour. Not to mention that I asked her to make it subtle.

Now I must caveat my comments with the fact that I was recommended this place by a friend, who LOVES them, so maybe I just caught them on a bad day.

The good parts - I didn't have to wait at all. They were running on time. And the girls I met (both the beauty tehapist and the girl at the desk) were very happy and friendly.

These guys supply market fresh fruit and veggies to your door. I was really impressed by the quality of the produce. Everything was so much nicer than the stuff available at my local Woolworths. I probably won't use them all the time, as the price is quite high, but for those weeks when you just can't get to the market, these guys are a god-send. :)

I went to TLC for a pregnancy massage. She has these wonderful cushion things that fit on the table so you can lay on your stomach without hurting your pregnant belly. My back was really sore and she was able to work out all the knots and realign my back/pelvis and make me feel so much more comfortable. She played lovely calming music, and the room smelled wonderful. I had a 1 hour massage and will be going back weekly as my due date approaches.

These guys do fantastic family photography in their garden studio. I've been involved with photography for a long time and haven't seen anyone else quite like them. Very friendly, no pressure sales and the prints we purchased are a feature of our home. Highly recommended.
