What a fantastic concept for women's fashion (clothing, shoes, accessories, etc). You basically buy and sell your stuff for virtual currency (called "buttons"). It's a great way to get new clothing for no cost at all. Even the postage is paid for in buttons. There are usually tons of name brands to choose from, and quite cheaply priced. So much better than EBay!!

I've both bought and sold a number of different things and all my transactions have been fantastic. Highly recommend you check it out!!

I've been a member of several opinion/review programs and this one is the best. Several times a week I get a survey e-mailed to me, and at least 1/3 of them I qualify for. Each survey pays between 50c and a few dollars. It's great for that little bit of extra $$. I usually cash in my rewards as movie tickets, as we can rarely afford to go otherwise.

This is a large daycare and preschool centre. They have two seperate preschool rooms. My child was in preschool (so I can't really comment on the daycare for babies side of things).

They successfully managed to integrate learning basic letters/numbers with having fun. My child loved her experience at the centre and made a lot of friends. At the end of the day, she often wanted to stay and not come home!

The small problems we had with other children were dealt with quickly and appropriately by both the room teacher and the director, who were also able to give us good feedback regarding what they had done to rectify the situation.

It's located across the road from the Jerrabomberra Public School, making for an easy transition to "big school".

This is a fantastic place to stop and great a meal. The staff are great, and the meals nice too.

I love the fact that they have an undercover kids playground. It means we can enjoy a meal in peace, letting the littlies run around and have fun. It also means that it's a mecca for families, so if you're after a quiet, intimate cafe, you best look elsewhere, 'cause it will be full of people like us! :)

I should mention that it's really popular. On the weekends, it's packed. You can't book unless you have a large group, so its pot luck sometimes.

What a wonderful place to find in the bustle of the DFO complex. The coffee is fabulous - always made perfectly. And the meals are supurb. So much nicer than the food court.

They are open earlier than all the shops in the complex, too, so you can stop by for breakfast, and be done, ready to hit the shops when they open.

The only thing that would make it even better is a spot for the kids to play, so I could stay longer and savour another latte. :)

A great little place to have coffee. I always get a caramel latte and banana bread. Just delicious.

They are always prompt in getting the coffees out - especially good when you're on your way to work and in a hurry! For the days when work isn't calling, it's a nice spot to sit and people watch. Or if you have kids, the fountain is out the front and the kids can run around and get wet.

A nice play centre located in the DFO complex at Fyshwick. My 4 year old daughter loves the slide and the small trampoline. It's a great place for the kids to wear themselves out, especially when it's freezing cold outside and they're bored at home.

They have a separate area for the toddlers, so they don't get run over by the bigger kids. Having said that, I tend to avoid the place on school holidays, as a lot of quite big kids come and run amok.

My dislikes: the price is a bit high, and the coffee isn't very good.

This has to be the best music store in Canberra. They have a massive range of instruments, printed music, DJ equipment, and pro audio equipment.

The staff really know their stuff and are very helpful. I've been in there just to ask advice about music things and they are always willing to talk and offer suggestions. Most of the equipment is available on the shop floor, so you can give it a go before purchasing. Highly recommended.

I was in a major fashion rut after having my baby. Nothing I owned fit me, and I was wearing jeans and tshirt, or a tracksuit, every day. I felt old, fat and frumpy.

I contacted Sam and we arranged to do some shopping together. I didn't have a huge budget, so she suggested DFO so we could grab some bargains.

In all, I spent about $250 in clothes, and 1.5 hours of Sam's time (about $110). That gave me enough clothes to see me through the entire summer season, and probably more.

She picked out clothes I never would have chosen for myself, but geez they look good! I've been complemented more times in the last 2 weeks than I have in the last 2 years.

Highly recommended service.

Approximate cost: $110

What a fantastic little toy shop. They stock really high quality toys - not the cheap junk that others seem to have.

We always find something great when we walk in. On our last visit, we bought a jigsaw puzzle, which isn't all that unusual, except that this one had really thick pieces (the pieces seem to be mounted on wood or similar) so my daughter would be less likely to wreck it. :)

They also stock the Australian Girl dolls, which my daughter loves and we can't find at any other store.
