This place is a real treat for a weekend arvo tea. Extensive scone menu but we just stick with the regular variety. The cream is real whipped cream but the jam is a little on the thin side, more like a sauce. The pot tea is yummy and compliments the scones. Dining inside or outside is lovely and there's a cute caravan that accommodates about 8 - best you book that. We've been here twice now and will be back again. Highly recommended for a girls day out just for fun.
We were in the area & fancied a bit of Italian but nothing too heavy. Came across Tiamo and were pleasantly surprised. Although very busy & cramped the food was well worth it. For starters we had Bruschetta and garlic bread - very nice. Then for main I chose "Tortellini in Brodo" which is Chicken broth with spinach and meat filled tortellini. This was delicious and perfect as I had been unwell. My partner had "Spaghetti Don Giovanni" which had mussels, clams and spinach cooked with garlic, oregano and chilli in a light Napoli sauce. It was all so gorgeous we returned the following week and ordered the same. Next time we go back we'll try some of their other dishes we saw enjoyed at other tables. Highly recommend this place!
Had dinner here using an online voucher. Pretty disappointing & embarrassing experience actually. Took someone out for dinner, not realising it was so so casual and the food wasn't the best Indian around. Nah, will stick with other faves in the area & it's put me off online deals.
Don't bother with their Risottos! This is the second time I've been here and disappointed both times. The 1st time I tried the pumpkin risotto and found it too mushy and wet with very little flavour. My partner didn't mind his pasta.
2nd time I tried the chicken & mushroom risotto and again the rice too mushy. In fact the rice is almost like mashed potato consistency and can barely see resemblance to arborio rice shape. The chicken in it was nice so it was like the rice sits in a rice cooker for a long time before adding the selected sauce. Both times I couldn't finish my meal. Now I've had many risottos in my life and will not be bothering here again.
Pretty disappointing. We hadn't been here or had take away in many years so decided on KitchenKu for a change. The curries seemed too oily & the roti didn't taste or smell fresh.
Came here on a recommendation for dumplings but we were very disappointed. The fried beef dumplings were horrible and neither of us could eat more than a mouthful. The steamed vegetable dumplings were much nicer. Enjoyed the iced green tea with blueberries, a refreshing change from soft drink.
Had a mid week dinner here and enjoyed it very much. We'd booked the upstairs room and the waiter was very attentive, up and down the stairs even just to fill our water glasses. Lamb gyros meals were gorgeous. Menu is a bit more pricey than other restaurants in the area but the quality was well worth it. We ran out of the yummy tzatziki so we requested a bit more so they brought us 2 little dishes of it. When the bill came, we were working out how much we owed & what tip to provide due to the great service and meals. Then we noticed they'd charged an additional $6 for the extra tzatziki. Soft drinks were expensive too at $5. So that was a disappointing end to the lovely night so we left NO tip at all.
Approximate cost: $20+
Attended a wedding here and was impressed with everything from the venue facilities to menu. Gardens were exquisite and I look forward to seeing the beautiful photos taken around the place. Food was to die for. Whilst waiting to go into the dining room, delicious fesh canapés were served. The 3 course meals served were top class quality, although the soups did need a bit more flavour. Whether you were served the lamb fillet or chicken fillet, it did not disappoint in quality, flavour and size. If it were a restaurant, we'd be back again and again.
Food is nice. Restaurant quite spacious and pleasant. We come here when we can't get a table at their Bundoora restaurant but do prefer Bundoora's food & service.
Really lovely food here. Atmosphere is nice as well as quiet. Perfect for intimate dinner. Take away is enjoyable too. Love the green curry, massaman beef and Panang curry. Haven't tried their sister restaurant in Eltham yet
