Just walked past this new store since the latest renovations to Garden City, and being on the lookout for feet-friendly sandals, I couldn't ignore the word 'podiatry' with their store sign, and all the 'sale' signs! Thought I might as well check it out!
you know you're in a winning store when within a minute or two of looking at their products, I was approached by 3 different saleswomen asking if I was being looked after, the first two were attending to other customers, telling me they'd be with me soon. Finally one was free enough to look after me, fitted me properly & was amazingly able to sense what country make a product was to seal the deal!
Brittany M was beautiful, friendly & helpful. Winning combo!!I walked out with a brand new pair of comfy, moldable Naot sandals for 30% off!! happy feet. happy customer. Winning store!

This review is for Charlie's Raw Squeeze, Greenslopes QLD

a good friend raved about Charlie's Raw Squeeze & I was immediately won over -- I waited 4 months before hearing about here & finally trying it, then I couldn't wait to return after my first visit!
the 1st time my friend shouted, the 2nd time I shared a taco bowl [15.95] with my friend & it filled us up well!
she had a lean green machine smoothie [$8] which she liked, and I had an Incan warrior smoothie [$8) which was absolutely delicious!!Both were made by healthy concoction genius, Bec!!
$31.95 for a really healthy, organic lunch for 2 is pretty decent value!
I look fwd to returning in future & trying out more of their awesome salads & smoothies - I'd also recommend their chargrilled + Mediterranean salad bowl which I shared on my 1st visit!

This review is for Haveli Indian Restaurant, Victoria Point QLD

NYE & my friend introduced me to Haveli as 'the best Indian I've had'
... while Indian has been my top cuisine since returning from a tour, I knew I couldnt go wrong ;) I tried their beef tikka masala [$16.90], my friwns had their chicken roganjosh [$16.90] with a chicken & chilli naan [$4.20] + mixed pickles [2.50] -- all takeaway, And they gave us large takeaway box of rice too. I also really liked the bright colored sari's used for decor draped all over the ceiling, so dining in may have been a nice experience ;) the waitresses were friendly :D both curries were delicious, servings were very generous - we had enough leftover for another meal!!
I found the naan not chilli enough for me, though still nice, and the pickles were a bit too sour :[

total bill of $44.5 for the 2 of us for what was effectively, 2 meals, = good deal!! :D I'd happily go back next time I'm around to try their other tasty delights ;)

This review is for Sassafras Canteen, Paddington QLD

verified email - 04 Jan 2016

this was a great 'food adventure find' as my friend & I were on the hunt for healthy eating places in Brisbane - Sassafras Canteen was definitely a winner! this was immediately obvious upon entry as the place was *PACKED* when we arrived ~ 12pm on a Tuesday. we were told some menu items would be unavailable and a wait of ~45 minutes for menu items ... eventually we ordered - I had a potato, feta & mint rosti [18.5] with sweet potato chips + celery salt <--[HIGHLY recommended!!] my bro had their brekky burger. we couldn't help but keep repeating "this is SOOO GOOOD!!!] to each other as we munched away in pure delight at their yummy, healthy treats!!

apparently the lunch menu changes every day! so I definitely look forward to returning again & sampling more of their healthy, yummy goodness! we really liked the outdoor garden seating table arrangement out the back on a warm summers' day - beautifully relaxing & refreshingly cool!

came here with a bro who also loves Japanese food - I had cold the chilled soba noodles with miso soup [ 14.5] , he had tempura noodles [18.5] , we shared unagi rainbow roll [ 3.5] & seaweed inari roll [3.5]- very yummy!
while I was disappointed at the tiny serving of sharkfin + jellyfish meat with my chilled soba noodles, what i had was very nice, beautifully presented as the Japanese always do. The total for the 2 of us was $40. not the cheapest, but we left with both stomachs happy!

This review is for Sushi Train, Eight Mile Plains QLD

verified email - 28 Dec 2015

My mate & I were feeling peckish ~ 3pm today & wondering where a healthy dining place would be open on a public holiday, I remembered the sushi train here @ Warrigal Square my cousin recommended because the chefs + staff were Japanese. a rare find for most Japanese dining places these days, so it had a very authentically Japanese feel & taste :) our waitress, Naomi, was lovely, politely informing us of the 10% surcharge. She even offered us a free honey lemon drink too!
While I enjoyed my meal too much, making an absolute mess on my bit of the bench, Naomi promptly came over to check I was ok & cleaned things up, impressive as there were plenty of other diners in there too! I look forward to returning in future to sample their other petite delights! we had 7 plates between us, total bill = $33.77. although it seemed like we didn't eat all that much, we both left with very happy stomachs!!

This review is for Sabu, Parramatta NSW

verified email - 14 Dec 2015

if you're looking for quality Japanese (at a price), gve Sabu a try!

a good friend raved about Sabu, and being a Japanese food lover, i had to try!

I ordered a spicy tuna roll ($18) - [which registered 0 on my spice meter] ... it was still nice, not a large quantity, but was very surprised how full i felt after the small 10 slices!!!!!!!!!!

even so, the way they described their 'snow' dessert on the menu sounded irresitable, (Pistachio and matcha crumbs, yuzu parfait, pistachio ice cream and pine foam.) - $16
... definitely can't say it was good value for money at all -- but I suppose those who'd go to places like this don't have a care about value for money...
my friends ordered the scallops (6 for $18), + tempura zuchini flowers ($18), also a 3 types sashimi platter ($25) + tempura prawn hand rolls (2 for $10 special) ... apparently the sashimi was very fresh & absolutely delicious!

This review is for CEO Karaoke, Sydney NSW

went there for a birthday party & everyone seemed quite impressed, although it was a little hard to find .. it was really dark inside .. which made it hard for one with poor vision like me to exit the room, find the toilet & find my way back to the right room again! :P

found out they have a BIG karaoke room for groups of 35-50, so if our party ever swells to such a size, we know where to go!

only other negative was it did'nt have the one song i really wanted to sing for my friend in their selection 'permission to shine' by Bachelor Girl + another one just for fun -- 'I feel good' by James Brown. Otherwise, $12 for 2 hours of Karaoke aint half bad! they've even got an 'all you can sing' special -- ask them about it ;)

This review is for Nikos Greek Restaurant, Bondi Beach NSW

verified email - 14 Dec 2015

convenietly located along the main strip along Bondi beach, Nikos had a nice inviting decor, I was keen to try the 2 course specials, but knowing I'd be spending lots on eating out for a day celebrating a mates' birthday, I decided to go for the cheaper lunch special of a Greek style paella for $25.50. only criticism was i wasexpecting more seafood [small prawns, fish bits & mussels] for the price, it was typically generous on cheap carbs :| everyone else in our group of 9 enjoyed their lunch

Approximate cost: $25
