Having moved to the Yarraville area earlier this year we were worried about finding a decent doggy day care facility for our furry foolish dog Kobe. Any dog owner is going to be nervous when leaving their most valuable procession in the care of someone else.

As luck would have it I saw a flyer in the local vet. After a quick phone call to Wendy I was so impressed with the information and the way they approach bringing a new dog into the daycare. They wanted to bring kobe and test to see how he interacts with the other dogs and get a feel for how he would like it.

I actually got a bit of a shock when I got to the day care facility. It is amazing. I think it is like disneyland for dogs! There are lots of indoor and outdoor spaces, loads of cool climbing areas, hideouts, toys, beds and best of all its beside a huge parkland area for walks. Seriously I would love to spend a day down there myself.

Since day one Kobe the dog has loved going there. You can see the level of genuine care is unsurpassed by the team at Urban Paws. Kobe is super happy on the drive down to Urban Paws and he is totally tuckered out on the way home. Don't expect to get any attention from your dogs after they have been to Urban Paws as they are totally wiped out from running around, walks and cuddles all day! It is a great thing to see especially as with both myself and partner working you can feel you are letting your dog down sometimes by not giving them as much attention as they deserve but a day or two at the day care a week puts our minds at ease.

Roger was great sending photos and videos of Kobe on his first day and letting us know how he was getting on etc. It really put my mind at ease. Also their Facebook page is great to check in an see what your own dog and all the others are up to on the days you leave them. Its actually so good that even when Kobe isn't there I check it to see how happy and content all the other dogs are! A picture tells a thousand words and to see such a bunch of happy, well cared for dogs is great. I also have to say that since bringing Kobe to the day care that he has become more balanced as a pet and is now excellent and attentive when we go to the dog parks ourselves which is great as he was easily distracted beforehand which was a worry. I think his interactions with the dogs at Urban Paws and especially Roger and Melinda has helped greatly. I also know Kobe loves Jess as I have seen him follow her around in photos and videos.

I have got the guys at Urban Paws to do a bit grooming and washing session a few times and Kobe comes back squeaky clean. Why can I never get him that clean??

But overall I think what makes the place is the team at Urban Paws. I have never seen a place so customer focused and they genuinely care about all the animals coming through the doors. I never write reviews (I am very lazy!) but we feel so lucky to have found the team at Urban Paws and look forward to many years for working with them. The only thing I am afraid of is that they are going to get even more popular and you will have to book your dog in a year in advance! But seriously I would recommend this place to EVERYONE and even if I moved another area I would still make the trip to drop Kobe off. Keep up the good work guys! . A++
