I went to Jojos for the first time and it was fantastic. I have special dietary needs and the staff were initially a little hesistant to assist me, but ended up being fantastic.
Our gorgeous hostess took our orders personally to each of the chefs and explained to them how I need my food prepared. (It turned out that all our food was prepared specially for me in case I wanted to share anyone elses food from my table).
Our table was all very pleased with their meals and I sampled almost all of the foods on our table. My favourite was the Chicken Pad Thai.... I haven't had this in years and it was delicious.
The meals were all generous sized portions and I felt that the prices were excellent for an upper class restaurant.
Kids were welcomed and were given colouring pictures and crayons on our table to keep them entertained until the meals arrived. I love it at Jojo's, but the staff made it extra special.

What a great little shop. We popped in to get a new rash shirt for my husband (It's so annoying when rashies end up all stretched out). But anyway, we got a excellent quality one from Cabarita Surf Shop. I was thinking we would end paying a small fortune for the replacement shirt, but it was surprisingly good value.
The fabric is not your regular lycra. It is more like a sports fabric and the guy int he shop said it will last much longer in the surf that your lycra rashie. We only paid $30 for it and I felt this was a great price.
They also had board shorts from $15. I'm wishing now we had picked a few up.
They also sold surf boards and all the other surfy stuff.
Very friendly staff and a great little shop. We will pop back in next time we are in the area for sure

What a brilliant little pizza place. Our favourite is the cheese and spinach pizza. If you haven't been before, be prepared for a HUGE mega pizza slice. When ever we are in the city area, we always pop in to grab a pizza to take home.
Staff are friendly and do their best to serve everyone quickly (It can get busy with a line right down the street, but that depends on the time of the day).
If there is a line, it is definatley worth the wait.... one of the best gourmet pizzas we have ever had.

We just had the BEST breakfast we have ever had!!!! Compliments to the chef.... We often eat out for breakfast and with 6 fussy kids with us, it is not always easy to find somewhere everyone will like the food AND not still be crying that they are still hingry after they have eaten.
Well at the Blue Rose Cafe, they did it!!! ALL my kids were sooo full they couldn't finish their meals AND everyone was sooo happy with their meals.
We ordered a bunch of milkshakes and fruit smooties.... these were so full of flavour and not your boring cafe drink. The Mago smoothy was a particular favourite.
For breakfast, the kids ordered berry pancakes and adults ordered the mediteranian omellette. Both were very generous sized meals and tasted delicious.
Staff were excellent.... they were still setting up when we arrived (6 kids waske up early!!!), but they quickly set us up at a table and promptly took our orders. The food was prepared quickly.
We will definately pop back in next time we are in the area (even if we are just passing through). What a delightlyful experience. Well done to the Blue Rose Cafe!!!!

Excellent fresh food. They sell kebabs which are HUGE and very filling. But our firm favourite is their pizza. My kids LOOOVE the Peperoni Pizza but I prefer the BBQ chicken pizza. The food is not greasy and is very tasty, just like home made food. The pizzas are huge too (we normally get 4 pizzas from the large chain pizza joints, but here we only buy 2 family / large pizzas and every one is full and satisfied.
We love that they have a drive thru.... we can conveniently grab some food quickly. Or we order ahead and pick it up on our way out.
Staff are very friendly and the shop is clean and tidy.

I often make the special trip to the Golden Circle store. I particularly love the "school snacks" (the individually portioned snacks) you can pick up soooo cheap here. With 5 school aged kids this a great money saver for our family (as well as a time saver... I used to buy bulk products at the supermarket and then portion them out myself to save money, but at Golden Circle, their pre-packaged individual serves work out cheaper)
I also love the great prices for all the Golden Circle canned goods. Even when the supermarkets have these items on sale, the prices at the warehouse work out even cheaper.
This is worth a drive on a regular basis to pick up cheap groceries for your family. I go around once a month and stock up, but in the end there is a great savings to be had.
Staff are lovely. The store is neat and tidy. I love going there!!!

Many people have coffee machines in their homes these days and these guys are EXCELLENT at repairing and general maintenance. We put our machine in for a maintence check over every year when we go away on holidays. This works out great, as we know our coffoee machine has been serviced and will be trouble free for another year. It also means we don't miss our morning coffee while the machine is in for a service.
That being said, the guys are Espresso Breakdown only need the machine for a few days and then it is ready to go again.
The staff are really friendly and their service is exceptional.

(Some may say that you can buy a NEW machine for the cost of repairing one, but we LOVE our machine and for us it is worth to repair it and service it. Our machine has self-cleaning and also grinds coffee beans. It is a simple to use machine with a RRP at over $2500.... so for us to spend under $200 / year on minor repairs and servicing is value for money)

A sweet little bakery. I haven't had many of the items that they have on offer. I personally prefer a bakery over the supermarkets for my bread rolls and caskes etc (If I'm not going to bake them myself, I like to support the little guys out there trying to make a living).
Their breadrolls are really nice - you can get big crusty ones or the softer ones depending on your personal preference.
Their apple crumble is devine - so much so, that I often wish they cut them into super sized pieces because I'm always wanting more!! (But that's more to do with my own gluttony than them heheh)
My kids love the coffee buns (nice and cheap but satisifying for the them and the kids feel like they have had something naughty too!!!)
Staff are pleasant and the shop is usually always busy.....

One of my favourite bakeries in the area. I often pop in after school drop-offs to grab something to eat. I haven't tried many of their lovely treats, as I can't seem to go away from my regular favourites, they are THAT good!!!
I looooove their vegetarian pies - they have REAL whole chunky vegetables inside and a lovely light sauce. THe pastry and beautiful and crisp... Yummy.
Another favourite is their jam ball donut - just the right amount of jam for the donut. The donut itself is very nice and is not oily or too heavy.
Staff are just beautiful - they see me coming and KNOW what I will order (but one day I will surprise them and order something different!!!)

This review is for Red Wok, Belmont QLD

verified email - 13 Dec 2012

As a fussy eater who will generally never eat anything exactly how it appears on the menu (I walys want to add something or take something out), I found Red Wok really good.
My personal favourites are the vegetarian fried rice (and I add a few prawns to this). I also have them make my own conconcotion of prawns / seafood with a mix of chinese vegetables and sometimes add some noodles as well.
Staff are only too happy to customise the meal to how I like it and you always know the food is fresh and made to order.
Staff are very pleasant, but it took a little time to clarify what I wanted due to the language barrior but this shouldn't deter you from eating here.
We have eaten in at lunch time- they have lovely seating out the front of restaurant. It would be extra nice at night time...
the food was prepared quickly and was very tasty.
