We had an a wall-mounted split system installed and the two men who arrived were very professional and did the job much quicker than I would have expected. The price was fairly good compared to other quotes we had found too. The only complaint I would have is that we kept finding small bits of copper wire embedded in our carpet after they'd left.

Approximate cost: $248.00

I went to Dr Shellabear as I was having trouble conceiving. She was very kind and understanding (and sent me for appropriate tests etc.) Luckily there were no medical issue and we conceived within 2 months of seeing her (once we stopped worrying as everyone says!) If you prefer a female Obs/gyno she is really lovely.

I'm reviewing the mechanical service, not the car sales yard (although they were very helpful when I bought the car). Took it in for a regular service under warranty and I was a little shocked at the price as it was over $400 (much higher than the first service) but the car does run smoothly and they seem to have done a good job. I would suggest talking about cost before booking. The service centre is actually around the corner from the dealership too.

This says it's a men's hairstylist but my Mum goes there all the time and recommended it to me so I gave it a try. I only had a cut but they did what I wanted and were very friendly and chatty. You also don't have to wait ages for an appointment!

This review is for Dr Zandi, Nedlands WA

Dr Zandi is an orthopaedic surgeon/ specialist who is based in Nedlands but also works out of Joondalup one day a week. I developed CRPS after breaking my fingers and was referred to him by a physio who thought I may have torn the ligament. He was very friendly and understanding and was honest about the worst case scenario (that if it was torn it was inoperable). He referred me on for scans immediately and then referred me to a CRPS specialist which has resulted in vast improvement in motility.

This review is for Vistaprint, Sydney NSW

I think everyone who has used Vistaprint uses them again for personalised gift products. There's something about their email with the word FREE on every product that makes you think "well, I could put these aside as birthday cards...". Their postage isn't cheap but it averages out to what you'd probably pay in the shops if you bought all those items that weren't personalised. The only products I don't find to be great quality are the free caps (too shallow in depth) and the printing on the mugs (colours always look a bit wrong). Everything else has been great.

This review is for Perth Zoo, South Perth WA

Feels strange reviewing a zoo but we take our 2 year old there often and I wanted to let people know about the Friends of the Zoo card. We found out about it from a friend just before we went to Melbourne for a week and it turned out to be a great bargain. For $65 (per adult) we get unlimited visits to Perth Zoo, Melbourne zoo and about 6 others around the country (including Werribee safari) for a year. Works out so much cheaper than individual visits and they send you a brochure with news about the animals/ zoo projects and puzzle/ posters for the kids regularly. Kids under 4 are free as well, so if you have toddlers who like animals I think it's a good investment.

Approximate cost: $65

I went to have my teeth whitened using a promotional price of $49. The mouth guard they use is pretty uncomfortable but the process itself is easy. They give you a pen to paint the bleach on your teeth then shine UV light on them for about 7 minutes, twice. It wasn't painful at all and I was pleased with the outcome but it's normally $150 and I'm not sure I could afford to go regularly at that price but the overall experience was good.

Approximate cost: $150

We've had take away from here a few times and the fish is always a decent size and quality and not too greasy. Price is comparable to most other fish and chip shops. They have the best chicken salt too!

This review is for Wanneroo Library And Cultural Centre, Wanneroo WA

We wanted to get married and have a reception we prepared ourselves in an empty art gallery (for the light and space) and found two galleries for hire in the new cultural centre. The staff were amazingly helpful, it was such good value for money and is a hidden gem for venue hire in general. I realise it doesn't fit the 'traditional wedding' expectation but we are so thankful we chose this venue so if you want to be a bit different it's worth considering.
