I went in recently with my daughter to have an afternoon tea treat. The staff were efficient and the drinks were fine. They could have been a tad friendlier, a smile doesn't take much to do!

This review is for Lakelands Medical Centre, North Lakes QLD

This is a great medical centre. The staff are friendly and helpful, the doctors very good. Occassionally I have found it difficult to get a car park when it is busy. It's the little details I appreciate, as a mum with young kids and a pram - the door automatically opens! Some other doctors I have been to, I have struggled to open the door with one hand, and push a pram in with the other. I haven't had to wait very long in the waiting room though (unlike other medical centres). I also appreciate the proximity to the pharmacy, QML and Xray place. I love the extended open hours. Very much recommend this place!

My husband and I enjoyed sharing a beautiful pizza at Augellos. The location was excellent, right on the water. The service and atmosphere was great. And the pizza was sooo delicious. I am thinking of returning to celebrate my 30th birthday there!

My husband and I and our young daughters had a fabulous brunch at Ric's recently when we were on holidays. We were very impressed. Along the front of Mooloolaba there are many cafes, however Ric's has been the best we have experienced so far. The decor is simple, casual and suits the beach front location. The views of the water are awesome! We chose to dine out in the open under umbrellas. The staff were very friendly and efficient. The place seemed to be popular, yet we were still served quickly, and the waitress doted on our daughters. The Big Breaky and All Day Starter kit were huge. The plates were overflowing with all sorts of delicious breakfast goodies - no lunch required for us. My latte was perfect. Extremely good value for money. Would totally recommend!

We recently stayed a few nights in their Possums Tail cottage. Wow! Gorgeous views of the mountains and distant coast. Just beautiful and relaxing. We could have stayed much much longer! Modern, double story cottage, all self contained and comfortable for our family of 4. Living areas were upstairs, with a verandah down the side. Floor to ceiling glass windows downstairs and upstairs. Firewood was sitting ready in the fireplace (so cosy!) and a delicious breakfast hamper, bubbly and chocolates were left in the fridge. Less than 10 minutes drive to the towns of Maleny and Montville. We thoroughly enjoyed our two night stay and would recommend to anyone wanting some time out in beautiful surroundings in the mountains. Lovely views (did I mention that already?!)

This review is for Maleny Cheese, Maleny QLD

02 Jul 2012

My family and I were staying nearby for a few nights, and had heard of friends that enjoyed eating here. We chose a cheese platter for 2, which included many different types of cheese, along with crackers, nuts and dried fruit. We couldn't finish it! Staff happily bagged the rest for us to take home. Efficient and friendly service. On the way out we peeked in the window to see the cheese being made. We also purchased a large tub of blueberry yoghurt to enjoy later - what a bargain for $1! Delicious, fresh and creamy.

This review is for Colin James Fine Foods, Maleny QLD

We were staying a few nights in Maleny and asked a good friend where he would recommend to go for good coffee. "Colin James, I think it is called. It is like a little deli and cafe". So we were off to find some good coffee. We weren't disappointed! The staff were friendly and efficient. There were only a few choices for cakes, although the one we chose was delicious and made on site. What we noticed plastered all over the walls were the many many awards for gelati. In the half an hour we were there we noticed many people came in and purchased gelati, despite it being winter! I dragged my husband along the following day to test it for myself (along with another good latte). The Mars Bar gelati was delicious. This cafe would be the first I would visit next time I return to Maleny!

My family and I had some dessert and coffee one afternoon recently. Given that it was a weekday and mid afternoon, it was expected that it would be really quiet. Our cakes were delicious, and coffee/ hot chocolate too. The staff were friendly, yet a tad slow to serve considering we were the only people in the restaurant. Our drinks came out a long time after our cakes, we would have liked to have enjoyed them at the same time. The prices were average. It was lovely to have a view of the water, however every now and then buses would whiz past and disrupt our conversation. Would have been nice to have had a bit of music to add some atmosphere. Good location though, and overall pleasant.
