This review is for Il Gelatiere On Norton, Leichhardt NSW

Being on Norton Street with all the Italian shops, I expected to get some great gelato here, but found myself disappointed. The gelato is heavy and not at all fluffy and airy like I would expect. The service and portion sizes are inconsistent as well, which can make it poor value at times.

This review is for Summit Restaurant & Orbit Lounge Bar, Sydney NSW

This is a great restaurant for a special occasion. The prices are very high but the food and the view are amazing. They were very accommodating to my partner when he told them he would be proposing in the restaurant -- they managed to get us a window seat even though they had lots of bookings.

The bar is also great with a wonderful modern style. We've gone back with friends to enjoy drinks and the delicious calamari. Although I once had a waitress "correct" my pronunciation of a french word, but I speak French and she was totally wrong, so I ended up feeling uncomfortable and embarrassed for her.

I've ate here twice because my mum bought some vouchers online. I'm glad she bought two, because our first visit went very poorly but my second was great, so I'm willing to give them another try in the future. The first time they were out of what I wanted, then when my lasagna came it was still cold in the middle, and there was a piece of metal scrubber in my salad! The second time, I had the chicken boscaiola on grilled vegetables and it was wonderful -- the sauce was amazing and chicken was cooked perfectly. Both times the staff were great. They are outgoing a friendly guys who are entertaining to be around. The location is not that fantastic for ambiance since it is in the shopping centre right next to the Coles. But it is a convenient place to stop before shopping.

This review is for DiVi Espresso, Lilyfield NSW

DiVi is a popular cafe in Lilyfield. The service has always been good for me as they are more outgoing a friendly than most baristas, plus the drinks are made to perfection (maybe because they are located under a barista school). I've only bought sweets once and neither myself nor my mum were impressed with them -- my banana bread was so dry is was crumbling apart. But the coffee is good enough that my mum bought a packet of their freshly ground beans to take home.

This review is for The Boulevard Take Away, Lilyfield NSW

The Boulevard is a great place to indulge your greasy cravings with burgers and chips. They make their own burger patties and they are tasty and pretty cheap. Although they're just a convenient neighbourhood burger shop, they have a great space that is clean, has nice tables, and a rack of magazines for customers. Plus they offer a few unexpected ethnic treats on the menu. The owners and staff are great and friendly too!

This is a nice little neighbourhood cafe aimed at bike riders. My husband is an avid mountain biker, so he loves to talk shop with the boys, whilst I enjoy my tea and banana bread. The coffees/teas are nothing special, but the bakery items are very nice and reasonably priced.

This is my favourite place to stop for a break whilst shopping at Birkenhead Point. It's high views accross the water are a great distraction from the mall. The staff have always been very friendly and prompt with me. I like their chai tea lattes and my husband says their coffee lattes are quite good as well.

This place is all about location and atmosphere. Located right on the water, with a large outdoor dock dining area, it's a great place to spend a sunny afternoon. We stopped in for some coffee, tea and cakes but will definitely come back for a meal some time.

The service is a bit strange for such a nice looking place. We had to go into the convenience store and stand in line with everyone to be able to order our food and pay. But I think that if you order a meal, they will actually come to your table. The coffees were great and the cakes were satisfying. But mostly we loved the location for an afternoon chat.

This review is for Indian Home Diner, Glebe NSW

This is your typical counter-service Indian Take-away. But I find their curries to have more flavour than many of the other places I've tried in the Inner West. The Butter Chicken is the sweet, velvety sauce variety which is my favourite and their dahl actually has some spice to it, instead of being a totally bland stew of lentils. My husband really enjoys their chicken tikkas as well.

Very large and active Yum Cha dining in the heart of the CBD. The classic seafood dishes like the Prawn Dumplings and Sui Mai were fantastic and flavourful. We special ordered a dish during the lunch rush and it arrived quickly. The staff are very prompt and the carts come around frequently. They also offer 15% off your bill if you pay cash before 12:30 pm.
