some friends took me to Khan Curry Hut for dinner. Even though I am not a big fan of Indian food I really enjoyed the night. The place has a nice atmosphere, and very friendly staff. They were happy to make suggestions from the menu to suit your tastes.
Dal Gourmet Cafe is a fantastic business, employing adults with special needs in the cafe and catering side of the business. They also have another location in Geelong. Try the food, it is really good! I have never used the catering, but I love the cafe. Everything is always so fresh and delicious. Great way to support your community too.
I have been using MySavings.com for a little while now. I have them bookmarked so I can check quickly each day if any new samples have been added that I like the sound of. I have received some fantastic products from this site. I highly recommend giving it a try. Just use the "Newest Free Samples" section if you want to check in regularly, I have found this the best way to avoid missing anything good.

I have been using Valued Opinions for a while now, and find it a little disappointing compared to other survey sites I have used. I have found that sometimes my points are stuck in "pending" for very long periods of time. I have been waiting 28 days now for one lot to be added to my total, and I have others in pending as well. This means that although I have actually completed enough surveys to earn a reward, I can not claim one yet. I have also heard it can take close to a month for rewards to be sent, so all up quite a long wait. I do enjoy the surveys from this site usually. I had a technical problem with one that I had been working on for over half an hour, and got no help to continue the survey, so it was wasted time.
Moore Grace Acting Studios provide drama and television acting classes for adults and children. I did a couple of classes with them, and they are great fun. The studio is run by Paul Moore and Sarah Grace, two stars of the television show Winners And Losers. They also have guest appearances from time to time by other television personalities, and workshops in Melbourne for kids and teens. These classes are fantastic for building self confidence and for gaining skills for a career in the industry. Students get the opportunity to have their performances filmed, and even to work the cameras. I highly recommend them!
My friend and I decided to go for a drive to Ocean Grove today. We stopped in at Foam Cafe & Icecream for a coffee and hot chocolate. There was a good variety of slices and cakes, icecream, sandwiches and hot food, including all day breakfast. We decided just to get the drinks. The service was great, really friendly staff! The drinks came out very hot, and were really good. We had a nice little table on the small deck outside. I would go back again.
The aim of Jamie's Ministry Of Food is to keep cooking skills alive, and to teach people about healthy eating. They run classes teaching basic cooking. My friend did the course and loved it so much that she became a volunteer there. I went along to their Food Revolution Day today. There was a cooking demo, and we all got a big mug of spicy soup to try. They also had a huge display of fresh fruit and vegetables. You could make a donation and take your pick of goodies to take home. A lot of it was home grown. If you are a bit of a beginner in the kitchen, or just want to have some fun, it's well worth checking out the classes. You can pop in and chat to the staff and volunteers, there is usually someone free to give information.
I wanted to get a small cupboard picked up and delivered to my house at the last minute, and it was not going to fit in a car, so my friend suggested I call Spring Creek. Paul was very helpful on the phone, and it was booked in exactly when I wanted it to be. The delivery men gave me a courtesy call half an hour beforehand to let me know they were on their way. They carried the cupboard in for me and put it where I requested. Very fast service.

I have never been for a meal at Edge, but it has been a good spot for after work drinks, and meeting up with friends before heading out. There are seated areas that fit well for small or larger groups. The bar staff are amount the friendliest I have found in Geelong. Overall a very pleasant spot to relax and chat.
I had home and contents insurance with the RACV for years. I had always been happy with their service and had no real complaints until the last renewal letter I received from them. I had missed a call from them, and the voice message said they had some price changes, and I could call about my renewal letter when it arrived. I was expecting a bit of an increase, I was not prepared for they had sent me. My previous year had cost around $500. My renewal letter was for over $5000! I couldn't believe what I was reading and thought it was a typo, but they really had increased my bill by 1000%. The reason they gave was to do with the flooding in Queensland, and my house being in a suburb with a river that has flooded in the past. I actually live close to a new bridge that was built in this location because it was judged as flood safe. I was absolutely disgusted. I heard that this happened to other people too. I swapped to another company that offered me full flood coverage for a little more than I had payed the previous year. I wouldn't recommend the RACV to anyone after this experience.
