The shop is beautiful, and Dietrich and other staff are genuine, musical and helpful. The parking and access were easy.

I purchased two second hand violin outfits for my children on 8 Sep. Dietrich gave us a friendly and warm welcome when we walked in. He and his staff spent considerable time and effort finding us suitable instruments and accessories. I have shopped around, and found that Animato's service and prices are by far the best in Brisbane. Definitely worth the drive :)

Very good service, Sumati was very helpful in selecting a new case. Price was the lowest found from several suppliers. We had a peg service which was very reasonably priced. If you are in market for anything related to violins, go and see Animato Strings.

Gliga vasile violin is great. Special Animato setup gives it a lovely tone. Very friendly

I purchased a Wolf Shoulder rest here many months ago and a number of people tried to fit it for me all to no avail.
I spoke to the owner and he said come in, which I did and even though he had another client playing a selection of viola's he made the rest to the correct shape in a couple of minutes. It fits beautifully and now I want to practice. A great shop and fantastic service. Many Thanks, John

Great service for interstate purchase. Had a 30 minute phone call with Dietrich one day to ask many questions and clear up all of my concerns. Instrument arrived in Melbourne promptly, well packaged, tuned, the bow rosined and I was playing it the minute I unzipped the case!

I bought my first viola from here as a kid 16 years ago (in Brisbane) and after my recent instrument purchase I have reaffirmed a high confidence in Animato Strings.

I cannot recommend this as a good business. The reason I can't recommend it as a good business is because I feel the owner doesn't run it like a business. Instead, he runs it like someone who is your best friend helping you with something. Furthermore, this business is run with passion and the care of someone who does it because they love it.

The minute I walked in, I was greeted by a dog, and smile from D (Dietrich). I was allowed to try any instrument that I wanted, I could ask as many questions, and everything was very, I suppose, real. The best way to describe it was like walking into Master Gepetto's shop.

There's not really much I can say more, but that it's a really great shop. It's the kinda shop you would hear in a fairytale or something. I have to admit, when I left after buying a cello, D was trying to keep helping me and giving me stuff to be a better cello player. All this was happening even until I left the shop. I was a bit embarrassed at his generosity and kindness.

In general, I would just like to say that, even though the service is priceless, the prices are very reasonable, and if you want a good bargain, Animato will definitely take care of you. If I ever got famous I would definitely recommend Animato, but since I'm not, I can only say that Animato is the best place to go.
