The Bavarian Bier Cafe is my favourite place German restaurants in Sydney. Their menu is so extensive and delicious. They also sell a huge range of biers. I usually order the pork knuckle when I come here, it tastes amazing.

I love this place for a gluttonous good time. Awesome food that you cannot get enough of, only the serving sizes are so huge that you end up having that very thought severely tested. The pork knuckle is reason enough to go but then there is the schnitzel, and the sausages, and the pork belly.. I think you get it. The beer isn't bad either. Shame about the noise sometimes but worth it to go nuts with the food.

I like coming here for a drink, and the cocktails are quite reasonably priced during happy hour. Can get a little crowded, so try to get in early if you can. Was a little disappointed the other time when we ordered two drinks about 15 minutes before happy hour ended, but because they took about 20 minutes to make, they ended up charging us the normal rate.

That is pretty bad actually, I would have pushed back because the drinks were in fact ordered during the happy hour period. How disappointing!

we are frequent fliers of several of the bavarian bier cafes, mostly because there are plenty of good beers for my husband and delicious food for me. food is rich, hearty and huge, so bring a good appetite.

Really good beer - not the cheapest but worth every cent - with outstanding service from staff that have real personality (and dressed "traditionally", though it's more "stereotypically" IMHO). Food was fantastic - I also had the platter though to be honest whilst the pork belly was delicious I thought the sausages were the standout, which was surprising but in a nice way.
Very happy with my experience here. Would go again in a heartbeat.

Nice European Cafe with selection of German beer and traditional food.
You can have just a beer with a snack or a full dinner. Always delicious.
Staff are friendly and professional. Just be mindful that when the place is too busy you will need to wait a little.

Enjoy going there.

Laid-back, relaxed atmosphere - perfect for hanging out after work. I'm not a big beer fan but I thought the lychee beer was lovely, almost like a cocktail (even had a mint leaf garnish). Ordered the Bavarian tasting plate which is a good choice if you want sample everything. The pork belly was definitely the highlight though, followed by the condiments; sausages and shnitzel were quite ordinary. Their mocha was too sweet - I would've prefered that it was made with cocoa powder or chocolate rather than chocolate syrup. But the sticky date pudding was delicious - a massive slice smothered in warm butterscotch sauce. The staff were efficient and attentive (granted, our table of 15 was hard to ignore) - all in all, a pleasant dining experience.

Approximate cost: $28

The location is easy to get to & close to everything, great environment and ambience.
The flavoured ladies beer was delicious, the mixed gourmet sausages are worth a try, the goulash was filling and yummy with a punch to its flavour, the salmon main is very appetising as there is a lot of acidity in the tomato saucing.

Approximate cost: $25
