Burwood Health Care

I attended for travel vaccinations by a nurse. She did not introduce herself and sat with her back to us for the majority of the visit on the computer. She was not pleasant or reassuring. There was no conversation, just questions and answers, very matter of fact.
On the positive side she was knowledgeable, and I was bulk billed for the appointment and the vaccination costs were reasonable

Dr. Hasan is a very caring doctor, takes his time to explain your problem, tries his best to help and make you feel better.
My wife and I are very happy with his professional attitude and advice. He is one of the best in the clinic !!

Doctors are rushing you out the door so they can see the next patient to earn their next fee through Medicare. They don't spend the time to explain to you the issue or your options and simply refer you to specialists at a whim. Would not recommend this place at all

Our family like Dr Le Kim she is a wonderful doctor that l high recommend.

Dr Helen Feng is the most terrible GP I have ever met . She is rude and not care about patients. We went there for my 2 years old son flu Vaccine, she did not check temperature of the child and go for the injection straight away without talking to us at all. She put the bandage trying to stop the bleeding without watching carefully, she actually put the bandage far away from the injection area. When I told her that she didn’t cover it properly, she came back and put another bandage on my son’s arm , didn’t even say sorry to him. Dr John Sun is the GP we usually go for , he is not available today so I went to Helen. If I know we will have such a bad experience today just for a flu Vaccine , I will definitely wait for other doctors.

Dr. Ivan Sananayake is the best doctor to visit. I’m so greatful that he is there to help us, after we had a bad experience with Angela Xu. Thank you Doc.

So sorry to hear a lot of people complaining about Burwood health care.Bulk billing centres are always busy and some times you have to wait awhile.My husband and I are regular patients of Dr Ki Loke and she never rushes us and is so thorough and delightful we just hope she never leaves this practice.

Well as I sit here waiting for already 30mins past my appointment time for the doctor in nearly an empty waiting room I ebb between understanding and being really annoyed especially after making an appointment and being told be on time. Sadly kids can't wait this long. Fix it burwood health care. ....

My husband and I have been patients here for over 10 yrs.We have had some great doctors but none as exceptional as Dr. Kit Loke she has been fantastic .She never rushes you and because of her dedication she has picked up major illnesses in both myself and my husband.We now live on the mornington peninsula but still travel to Dr. loke for our health care.She is by far the best doctor we have ever had.

My partner and I have been patients at this large, busy clinic for over 10 years. We have seen many different Doctors over the years and this is rarely caused me any difficulties. They provide an on line appointment booking service where it is possible to choose the Dr and the time that suits you. Many of the staff are bilingual and the practice bulk bill. We of course have our favourite Dr and have always been looked after in the case of an emergency.

I can totally understand what all the other negative reviews are saying about this huge busy practice but I feel that there is at least one doctor who does not fit their descriptions. I changed to this surgery around 8 years ago and I am so thankfully that I did as I have been sick most of my life and previous doctors have not listen or looked at the big picture. I am a patient of dr elnazak who is a caring and pro-active doctor who listened to me and didn't stop till he found out what was wrong with me. He has gone out of his way on many occasions to see me or help me with medical forms prior to surgery no matter how busy he is. I am getting my health back on track after 25 years of being ignored because of his dedication to his patients. I have on occasion see 3 other doctors in that surgery and they were exactly as other reviews described but I feel that it is important that people realise there is at least 1 exceptional doctor there, that I can not thank enough.

Have been a patient here since I was a baby, nearly 30 years. However I can now state that as of this year, I am no longer a patient.
I have to completely agree with another reviewer, they have turned into an absolute in and out factory, building a patient base, they are unbelievably busy and are always so booked up. The waiting room is as busy as Bourke Street these days.
Doctors come and go, and they charge for new patients - even for me to bring my own baby as a patient, with me having been a long term 'customer', they asked me to pay around $50 to add bub to their books. I flatly refused, and at this point searched for another surgery.
Sorry Doctor Demaio, but it seems to be all about getting bigger and bigger, bringing in more and more money... The friendly local feel has gone.

Burwood Healthcare has been looking after my family's health for over 10 years. Consultations with prior appointments are bulk billed. For urgent consultations doctors have been accessible within an hour on payment of a small fee compared to the waiting time a patient endures in an emergency department in a hospital. In our experience the doctors spend adequate consultation time. The fact that Burwood Health Care is our surgery of choice bears out the quality of service they provide.

Although they charge a joining fee for new patients, this is a good centre, one of the few that bulk bills. Lots of doctors so pretty easy to get an appointment. They have a little play area for kids too which is good when you have to wait.

I have been a patient of this surgery for twenty years, they just keep getting bigger and bigger and more and more patients so much so it is just like a production line factory feeling. I was there with an emergency and although i have been a patient for so many years i only ever need visit about four times per year. They had no care the other day that i had an emergency and kept me waiting for an hour unnecessarily and didnt care that i said i was leaving at this time. the previous appointment had been made well in advance and i was kept waiting an hr then too despite having an appointment then i was in there all of five minutes and quickly shipped out the door feeling rushed and dissatisfied.

Make appointments well ahead of time, but then again, you can't really predict when you are going to fall sick. It is impossible to get an appointment if you ring up the week you want to see a doctor

this business behaves like a production line, appointments are too rushed, long waiting periods despite having an appointment, doctors who lack knowledge and just want you out the door asap!

I was very impressed with the service that I recieved here,in both the staff and medical practioners.Although I cannot say it was a pleasant experience(when is being sick ever a good experience!!)I would have to say it was the best experience I could have asked for or expected under the cicumstances

Great bulk billing medical centre. i went to the travel doctor here and they were really patient and knowledgable. Didn't try to push any medication or vaccinations onto me, just let me have time to decide and made some really good suggestions.

I visit this clinic out of convenience. If I ever wanted to see a good doctor for a real problem I wouldn't visit this place. That's not to say all the doctors are bad, only a select few who make you feel like a number on a long list that they plough through to make as much money as possible. I got misdiagnosed once and am still suffering from the same problem.

I only recommend visiting this clinic if you have a minor ailment or need a medical certificate or very VERY general medical advice.

I always visit this practice when my family needs medical advice and/or immunizations for travelling overseas. We have been to some exotic places, and the Burwood Health Clinic has spent as much time as we need to discuss the destination, research the health concerns there, and prepare us for our trip. We've never had a bad experience abroad, and I credit these doctors for it.

I was very unhappy with the level of customer service here. The reception staff were rude and unhelpful. I waited an hour and a half over my appointment time and the once I saw the doctor I was rushed through, no longer than five minutes.The doctor barely listened to my problem and actually gave me the wrong prescription. I'll never go back!

I have been really disappointed with this clinic, both times that I have attended. They are very busy and the doctors rushed me in and out, great if all you want is an antibiotic script but I would be hesitant to go there for anything more serious. The reception staff were not friendly on either of my visits. The third time I was going to go I cancelled the day before my appointment but still got an invoice in the mail for cancelling.

This by far is one of the best doctors clinics. Long opening hours, 8.00am - 10.00pm weekdays, 8.00am-8.00pm weekends, many doctors available and many multi-lingual, appointments but standby appointments or drop ins, x-ray and pathology and physio on site, child friendly and the best bit, they bulk bill! It's my first point of call before going to the local hospitals emergency room! Will cost up to $20 for no appointment or after hours but still, that's pretty cheap!
