FRANKSTON TOYOTA IS WHY CAR SALESMEN HAVE A BAD REPUTATION.
Three words to describe Frankston Toyota; INCOMPETENT, ARROGANT, CARELESS.
There is zero after sales service from this dealership. I was amazed by the total lack of care shown from a business that sells on "that new car feeling".
The car I purchased was missing the towbar tongue and the door handle was not replaced as promised. I was then forced to chase my own towbar tongue which they would reimburse me because they were too lazy to keep to their promise.
The most surprising fact was the car I purchased was not cleaned at all. The interior and windows was not wiped at all, coffee stains left around the cup holders, vehicle was hardly vacuumed (if at all) and then I found half a can of coke in the centre console and rubbish and takeaway menus throughout the vehicle. In order to rectify this obvious oversight I was offered a mere $150 towards a new car detail which still leaves me out of pocket another $150. This is not what anyone would expect when spending 45k on a vehicle.
I will not be going back to Frankston Toyota when the time comes for an upgrade and I definitely would not recommend anyone waste their time there in the future.
Tony in Finance was the only shining light during my entire experience and I recommend he look for employment at a competent dealership.

Not a good experience. Tried to check a used car but very poor sales response - left messages and poor return of calls. Got the feeling that they didn't really want to do business. Claim to pay above market price for trade-ins but their offer was below market price. No opportunity to negotiate and PLEASE don't call me mate!!!

I have never had such a bad experience with a salesperson in my life! I am surprised that Toyota as a brand want to be associated with this dealership. To begin with very few of the used cars on the lot were up to the standard of quality one would associate with Toyota, many were badly scratched and dented and just dirty in general, surely one of the many salespeople could have got a damp cloth and wiped the mud off a cars interior!
Secondly I’m not even sure what type of sales techniques the salesperson was trying to use but they definitely don’t work in the year 2020. I understand this dealership may be in a lower socioeconomic area but it’s just plain rude to interrogate customers about how much money they have and where they live and wether they were actually looking to buy a car (why would we be here if we weren’t) there was no customer first mentality and the salesperson honestly just screwed us around for half an hour. Also the prices were not at all competitive with any other dealership in the area so I’m really surprised at how this place is still in business. I definitely won’t be going back here.

i would NEVER recommend frankston toyota new cars to anyone, they did a double tag team to wear me down to a car that was nothing like the car i wanted, although not feeling well, they would not let me leave until i left a deposit. I received misleading information on just about every question i asked, the only thing that was said to me that i 100% agree with would be their names. do not trust them - go anywhere else if you want to be treated with respect

Being a young apprentice, I don't have much experience in buying cars and buying with Frankston Toyota was definitely not a good first experience. Firstly was promised things that never appeared, including salesman promising me things in the servicing department which isn't there point of call. I bought a secondhand car and was ensured by the head mechanic that it had been fully serviced and given a 100% 'health check' previous to me buying it. However the timing belt needed replacing shortly after along with a number of other issues. All in all, can confidently say that I would not recommend and won't be going back to Frankston Toyota or any of their partner dealerships.

I've bought several cars from them over the years and their sales staff are all very pleasant. They're quite happy if you want to go home and think about it in my experience. Even being a woman I've managed to get good deals from them their after sales service is good and they do a fast service while you wait in quite pleasant surroundings. Everybody there is so pleasant and you might say it's their job but I've dealt with other car dealers and other Toyota service centres and met with surly staff and long waits

Bought a brand new Yaris from Frankston Toyota this week for my girlfriend and had a horrible experience. During the negotiations, the sales people agreed to include floor mats with the vehicle. After picking up the car, we discovered that the floor mats were missing. Thinking it was a mere oversight and not a big deal, I called Frankston Toyota to rectify the situation and to arrange a time to pick them up. To my surprise, I was informed that the floor mats were not part of the contract and were excluded for that reason. I was offered to purchase them separately. Admittedly, I did not check the contract thoroughly, trusting Toyota and its good reputation to be honest in such matters. But to exclude an inexpensive accessory which was agreed on during the negotiations from the contract is very dishonest. Then to dismiss my query by referring to the contract just adds insult to injury. One would expect this kind of dodgy behaviour from a disreputable used car salesman not from a major car dealership selling the most popular vehicles in the country.

I have filed a compliant about this with Toyota Australia and would definitely NOT recommend Frankston Toyota to anyone looking to buy a new car. They are dishonest and will try to scam you in any way they can. If you do decide to shop there, go over the contract with a fine tooth comb before signing it and committing to the purchase to make sure all accessories and features agreed on have been included and you are not being scammed.
