Worst customer service ever

Easily the worst customer service I have encountered in 20 years, even for Perth it's bad. Began the quote process in April of this year after trying to contact them and not getting a call back. This is not a small job, 4 complete AC replacements in 4 apartments, a 50k plus job. After around 6 months the final quote was accepted and all 4 of us paid a deposit. The only way we have had any communication from them is constant phone calls and emails usually with no reply. First they blamed the traffic management company now they are blaming the sickness of an employee, apparently the only one who can coordinate apartment installations. Last contact was 3 weeks ago when they said they would have a solution by the end of the week, that is the standard fob off, "by the end of the week". They still have 6k in deposits and at this stage despite starting the whole process at the end of last summer, 2 of the customers will spend another summer without AC. Disgraceful

This company is an absolute disgrace and the man that owns it and runs it is worse, he talks the talk but DOES NOT WALK THE WALK, been promising me a quote for 7 months now, told me personally on the phone a month ago that he was heading to Broome for a week to do nothing, and that he would get my quote through to me as soon as he returned from Broome, that’s now over 3 weeks ago and yes I’m still waiting for my quote. It’s really obvious that Jeff Mouritz is not a man of his word and continues to waste my time.
Thanks Mr Mouritz for nothing

Told it would be a week and a half almost 3-4 weeks ago
They made one phone call and now it’s my fault there’s a delay
Numerous calls and emails by myself with almost no response at times for days
Very very disappointed
Blaming other departments
Maybe it time the owner gets involved
So disappointed I can’t even describe what I want to say

We were looking to replace our old evaporative air conditioning, we contacted Mouritz a well known established company. A rep came out and gave us a quote and advised it would be best to remove the old system, cover the vents so no dust or heat comes into the house and put in 4 new split systems in the bedrooms rather than a new ducted system as I already had a split system in the lounge room. I agreed to go ahead with the recommendation paid the deposit and gave the go ahead.
Once work started I had to pay more for wiring, the skip bin was not ordered even though it was paid for and I had to call to find out why it was not delivered so I had to have the old evaporative unit on my lawn for two days before it finally arrived. Three of the units got fitted with no problems at all but the last unit was a disaster, a brick was dislodged in the wall when Installing the unit and nothing was done until I complained and made them come a fix it which they did eventually do, they painted the area the wrong colour so now the whole room needs repainting.
None of the old vents got sealed correctly instead just a piece of paper was placed over the top of the vents which makes the house extremely hot and the vents keep lifting into the roof if we get strong winds. After talking to the Fire department they have advised that this is a fire hazard and if this paper blows onto a down light it could cause a fire and advised contacting Mouritz straight away which we have done and they don’t want to know and the upper management refuse to contact us. The only staff member who has been helpful was Jason but he has been instructed that the issue has been resolved even though nothing has been done.

If anyone is looking at getting air conditioning done, please don’t use this company they are only after your money and do a half arsed job.

We had a new reverse cycle Fujitsu system installed in Jan 17. We were so impressed with the professionalism conducted by Jeff Cadman our consultant. He was friendly, informative, so helpful and not pushy at all. Above all, he listened to our needs and developed the best possible plan lay - out for our home. Thank you Jeff Cadman. We were also very happy with our two installers, Scott and Christian. They installed our air con with ease and professionalism. Cleaned -up and explained how the unit ran. Thank you Scott and Christian.
We highly recommend Gas and Air for their time, professionalism and for catering to our needs.

Just had a Bonaire evaporative system installed to replace the old evap one, sales rep was great, as were the installers. Everything was done as promised, they placed all the rubbish where they were asked to, the tradies were extremely helpful, everything is working fine.

Approximate cost: $5000

We had a new reverse cycle Fujitsu system installed a few days ago to replace our 20 year old evaporative system (also installed by Gas & Air). Everything went like clockwork according to the timeline given us by Gas and Air. We couldn't be happier and thank all the tradesmen involved who were polite and non intrusive. In six hours the job was completed and there were no further costs involved over the original quote.

When we went in we were looking for a spilt system that was advertised in a TV program and what they don't tell you is incorrect information was advertised because we asked about the unit. It wasn't what we wanted, so you end up getting an expensive over priced unit that Good Guys or Harvey Norman would charge you less for the same unit. The service at first was good but they will upon installation charge you heavily. They add on charges they promise they won't. When you question them they fob you off and you wait for answers. Now without solving the issue, they ask for they installation service charges and ignore your dissatisfaction completely.
If you want to be ripped off, terrible after care service and have an over priced air-con unit go with this company.

Bonaire evap system was tripping the safety switch. Called Gas and Air Jeff Mouritz in Willetton. Service tech inspected the system and advised that the motor is fused and needs replacing at a cost of $650 plus another $88 call-out fee. I paid this initial $88 call-out fee but told him I would seek other opinions. Based on his advice, I purchased a new motor (for $245!) and replaced it myself. Problem remained, so I had the old motor checked out and it was found to be in perfect working order! So, is it a scam by the technician, incompetence or a systemic business practice?
So far the service manager at Jeff Mouritz has not returned my calls. The only offer they've made (through the receptionist) is for me to replace the motor with the old one & bring the new motor to them where they will replace it with one in a box so I can return it to my place of purchase and ask for a refund. Their suggestion is dishonest and I refused, but it clearly shows the business practices they employ! So to date, I still have a non-working air con system, and am $245 plus $88 out of pocket! I will pursue this further...

Approximate cost: $328

Because the service manager didn't resolve the issue, I raised a complaint with Consumer Affairs. The progressed the complaint and advised me that Jeff Mouritz Gas and Air would contact me to resolve the issue. Guess what? - 4 weeks later and they still haven't contacted me. Definitely a very dodgy business!

Advised Consumer Affairs that Jeff Mouritz Gas and Air failed to contact me as they had told Consumer Affairs they would do. Consumer Affairs can do no more as they have no "teeth". But they forwarded Magistrates Court (small claims) details to me, so I will pursue through this avenue.
I also sent a personal letter to Jeff Mouritz (in case he himself did not know there was a problem) And Guess what? No response from him either!

We purchased a replacement evaporative airconditioner from Jeff Mouritz Gas & Air. The contract was signed and we were told that if there were any other expenses incurred, the company would cover them. When the installer arrived he queried why the new unit was to be placed on the other side of the house (according to the plan he had been given by the company) instead of in place of the old unit. I advised him that we had not seen the plans so he rang the Installation Supervisor at Gas & Air to query the plan. He was told that the company was aware of the situation and it was all in hand, and to go ahead with the install. We now have a situation where the new unit is too close to the flu on our ducted gas heater and the flu needs to be moved at a cost of $203. After a few frustrating phone calls the best the company will do is pay 50% of the cost and we are expected to pay the other 50%. We do not have a problem with the unit itself (it works well,) or the installer - our discontent lies with the company hierarchy who will not back up a verbal promise given by the salesman even though we have spent just over $6000 with them. It is not the money but the principal which is the issue for us. We would strongly advise anyone contemplating using this company that they tread very carefully when it comes to verbal arrangements as they are not as good as their word.

Approximate cost: $6000
