I've visited the Golden Nugget probably once or twice a month since they opened in the old KFC building, and always order the same thing - I know, thats sad. Anyway, went there yesterday to order my chocolate eclair and white hot chocolate, only to be "informed" they have never had white hot chocolate. Why the staff couldn't just say, they don't do them anymore, is beyond me, as I didnt enjoy being belittled for wanting something I've always had from there. I know I'm only one person - but they lost a customer yesterday

Wow, this is our absolute no#1 Favourite Bakery in Ballarat ... And believe me we have tried a few bakeries since moving to Ballarat from Melb.
The apple/custard donut is our favourite, we are hooked !!! Is so nice slightly warmed up in the microwave at home with a cuppa : )
Everything we have tried to date has been so yummy !!
... And their cappuccino's are the best, great quality coffee !!!
Love the drive-thru option if it's too cold to get out of the car in Winter here.
The staff we have always found to be incredibly helpful & extremely friendly, even at the busiest of times.
Prices are reasonable on ' most ' bakery items.

The first drive-thru bakery in Victoria. Entry into the bakery or drive through is always met with great service, smiley faces and friendly people. They make the best coffee/hot drinks in Ballarat and have a tempting range of sweets. They also sell newpapers. The perfect place for coffee and reading the paper.

Great bakery on the main street, has a drive through service for coffee's and lunches. Good range of lunch options including pies, pastries, bagettes, and the staff always welcome and serve you with a smile.

I get coffee from Golden Nugget Bakery when ever I am in Ballarat (they have soy milk) and have not been dissapointed yet. Last time I also had a chicken roll and a bite of a choc eclair- next time I will remember to leave more room for the eclair!

I go here many times a week, mainly throught he drive through which is so delightfully convenient! The coffee is great, and I love their jam doughnuts. The drive through can be a bit slow, but I guess good coffee takes time.

I visit this bakery frequently, the best pie's and sweet food in town, and awesome hot choclate too. And you don't even have to get out of the car to get it! It has a drive through!!!!!

Use this shop regularly. Excellent range of food, breads & cakes. Great coffee. Always fresh & plenty of stock. Staff are especially good.(Very calm during peak periods)

Great coffee, yummy cakes and donuts and the drive thru is an awesome idea and quite fast. They have the consumer reward cards for coffees which is handy.
