We contacted John via a WOMOW listing a couple of weeks ago because we'd bought a large secondhand fridge/freezer that kept tripping the safety switch when turned on. Over the phone he showed real interest in our dilemma and gave calm and helpful advice that resolved the problem.

We subequently asked John to visit to carry out a couple of small domestic jobs: install a new double wall plug and replace a broken one. At this visit we consulted him about a more major issue, relating to our point of attachment (i.e. where the main cable from the electricity pole joins the house). We had previously received various tradesmen's conflicting opinions over what to do plus exhorbitant quotes.

John sized up the problem immediately, devised a solution and offered to undertake the point of attachment task that day for a very reasonable amount. His charge for installing the wall plugs was similarly reasonable.

We really pleased with John's efficiency, expertise and prices. He turned up when he said he would, and is nice bloke as well!

We won't hesitate to use his services again.

John is doing the wiring for our major renovation, including changing to 3-phase power, upgrading the switchboard, moving the power meter and installing low-power and LED lighting.

John did some minor electrical repairs and added some light fittings. He rang me a couple of times to let me know he was coming - polite and efficient! I first used his services back in 2003. He said then, "the quality of my work is the same I would do on my own home" - that is why I called him again. He likes to chat and gave me some good ideas for other home improvements.

We were doing a renovation and had a sudden need to do some electrical work. We contacted JAE Electrics from an ad in the local paper. John was very responsive and flexible and arranged to come around and have a look at the job immediately. He arrived promptly and gave us a quote on-the-spot. We were having trouble working out how we could schedule the job in around the other tradesmen and he immediately offered to come and do the job on a Saturday so that our work schedule wasn't disrupted. While most of the job was straightforward there was one bit that involved him crawling under the house for some distance which he did without hesitation or complaint. Not only did we find him a capable tradesman but also a lovely guy to deal with - very personable and friendly. He will do all sorts of cabling work including electrical, data, telephone and TV.

Several small electrical tasks - restoring power to home, fixing a bathroom light heater, fixing a power point, a light switch, and a couple of high outside lights.

John is friendly and polite. He arrived promptly as promised and his work was excellent. John explained everything clearly and ensured that all was to our satisfaction before starting and he cleaned up after he finished.
