I had really good flight from Melbourne to Maroochidore. Staff was friendly, smooth flight, came on time, no waiting and because of flooding we had to go home early no problem with rebooking and seats. Based on this experience I would use them again.

I regularly fly jet star, and while I usually find it cheap, easy and pleasant my last experience was anything but. The check in lady was so rude to myself, my husband and friend when we were checking in to our flight to Bangkok, we walked away from the desk upset and angry. She was also not displaying her name badge otherwise we would have made a complaint about her. She also seated us as far away from each other as possible, even though there were three seats together like was asked her for. Will think twice before flying with them again.

Approximate cost: $400

JETSTAR STOELN HANDBAG! Hi, flew with my Wife and 2 small kids from HBT to BNE direct. Flight was delayed and we landed well after 10pm. 2 small kids asleep and struggling to carry them and all our bags off. waited to be last off. There was NO offer to help from the crew who were all milling around the doorway. After getting home we discover we left my Wifes bag on the plane! We know she had it as she got money out of her purse to buy snacks on the flight. Fioan dashed back only to find no-one available....no amount of frantic calls to any Jetstar number could illicit any help, or interest for that matter. The plane was there but secuirty couldn't allow access. SO, my wife goes back 5am and staff won't help her either....finally a person turning up at the gate goes and has a look...won't let her on....after less than 2 minutes comes back with a cold "not there...sorry". DISCRACEFUL. Jetstar have my wifes bag, wallet, cash etc!! NOTE there is no way of contacting Jetstar head office - they are specifically designed to make it impossible to talk to a person about a complaint. You can email sna will get a reply "within 8 weeks". After about that time frame we got a useless ...nothing we can do reply. We went to the Federal Police and have a crime number but for whatever reason no one cared enough to look at camera footage etc. JETSTAR - PLEASE CONTACT ME !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Or at least return the stolen bag in your possession. I authorise WOMO to give you my email address.

Approximate cost: $2000

Get what you pay for. I bought flights to Newcastle for overnight stay. Cheap, check in was easy and fast. Seats on the plane were as squishy as any other airline. I have no complaints

My husband has had to do a couple of quick overnight trips recently and used a couple of airlines, Jetstar included to get him interstate.

It's a reasonable trip if you don't have any delays, but the problem he has with it, is the seats are so narrow. He's a larger person and it's really uncomfortable for him. He also has to take a piece of medical machinery with him as hand luggage and they always complain about too many bags, even though the other one he has is small.

So, good for an emergency I suppose but if you've got the slightest thing that's out of the ordinary, they can't or won't cope with it very well.

They can be a bit hit and miss.

Recently flew interstate for a holiday... only to wake the departure day to a voicemail stating flight was cancelled. I was on hold for 1hr to sort out the situation to my surprise I had recieved a new flight and for each passenger a $50 credit. Good 1 jetstar. :)

You get what you pay for... cheap uncomfortable flights that get you from a to b. Fine for short trips like sydney to melbourne but anything to perth i would pay a few extra dollars and go with virgin who have recently upped their game.

I much prefer virgin too

Don't ever call, because you'll be holding for at least 45 minutes before you get to speak to somebody and the music & advertising drives me insane. Cheap, easy to book online or on webjet which is what i prefer. Good service in flight, never had a problem
