Yeah cheap flights are available, but the really cheap ones are rare and on weird dates that most people dont want to travel.
My problem is when you do fly with them, every single time, including overseas trips every single pair of headphones Ive had has been stuffed, the portable video tablet system always has issues for me, and obviously staff can't do much about broken systems/management being so tight that there are no resources to provide a standard enjoyable experience that is available on any other airline.

I Take the trip up to QLD from NSW acouple times a year, Mostly using jetstar. Tickets are cheap, if you get early flights its even cheaper!

There website is easy to use and get tickets from. I have always found staff to be friendly, poliet and very professional.At the airport when booking in its always so easy and stressfree. Planes are always clean and tidy just alittle cramp but its only an 1hour flight.

Recommend!

flew with them once or twice as I remember, maily between Oz and NZ. The trips were great. Waiting times was a little longer than another one I tried but still alright.

First time I have flown Jetstar and probably the last. I had no preconceived ideas about this airline and I don't have a horror story of lost luggage, rude staff or bad service, but, as someone referred to them, "sardine airline" left me very unimpressed. I cannot believe how cramped the seats are, nor how narrow the aisles. Also not impressed that a one hour flight (Sydney to Melbourne) took us nearly 2 hours. I don't think the savings compensate for the lack of comfort. Not impressed. Won't fly with them again. Truly one of the worst flights I have ever experience.

I flew with JetstarAirways again this year (yes, after vowing I never would again) and was pleasantly surprised. Service was impeccable, planes were new, roomy and comfortable and I was generally very pleased with the overall experiences - I took several flights around Australia between May and August this year.

I have flown jetstar interstate and OS and have never had a problem. I have always bought my tickets while there was a jetstar sale and have always managed to get super cheap flights. Yes you have to pay for all your food and entertainment, but for the money you save in flights I think it more than makes up for it. Staff have always been professional and friendly.

AVOID THEM LIKE THE PLAGUE THAT THEY ARE! Jetstar is not only the worst airline I have ever encountered, It's one of the worst companies. Rude employees and terrible attitude and customer service. It would take a book to specify all the details and reasons of my hatred for them, but suffice to say I will never fly with them again. I will happily pay 2x to 3x the price to avoid them. The only thing that would please me and make up for their horrible treatment is their declaring bankruptcy. I know this will not happen due to the fact that so many "sheep" will always use them for the low cost so they have no reason to even try. BIH Jetscum!"

Always find jetstar great value. We usually fly to queensland once or twice a year and have always enjoyed flying with them as opposed to the other airlines

While recently flying with Jetstar it came to my attention that not one flight that I have boarded with Jetstar has been on time. The staff don't care about you or your experience. This one particular time I approached the lady at the counter requesting how long the delay would be. She said "I don't know, you'll just have to wait." I was appalled.
I avoid flying with Jetstar when I can and prefer other airlines.

I have had similar experiences with Jetstar and also refuse to fly with them. I am glad people are starting to put their lack of scheduling ability and lack of customer car out there for people to see.

Where do I start?? Used Jetstar for the first time to fly to Sunshine Coast and the whole experience was painful. Received a message somewhere after 11pm that my 7.20 flight was cancelled and that the info I needed was in email or I could call. No email received so called - took 20 minutes to resolve that my only option was to catch an earlier flight! Not easy when it is 5.30 in the morning and you have to be at the airport at 6.15 to catch the flight and you live on the other side of town! When I got there they could not check me through to Qld - had to collect and re-check baggage in Melbourne. On-board staff seemed disgruntled and unhelpful. Got a phone call in Melbourne asking if I had collected my bags as they had a couple from Adelaide and I was the only person travelling through from Adelaide (they were not mine). Big delay in Qld with bags coming out.

You know - good old Jetstar - they are always reliable and the service is good. I think they are really good for a quick interstate - especially when you are not travelling with luggage. The crew are always helpful and friendly.

haven't found them at all "quick or reliable". Have only flown with them once and that was enough. Smallest seats ever!!!!
