We moved from Geelong to Beaumaris recently and used My movers. We moved a 3Bd house. The whole job was done in 5 hours. The guys were extremely professional and efficient. This service was also great value as we got some other quotes that were going to nearly be double the price. So happy with this company. Would recommend them to anyone!

Hi all,

We decided to use my moovers for our move.

Not the biggest of the moves as it was a 3 bedroom house hold worth of stuff we were to move.

The 2 men that came for iur move were on time.
They were very friendly and very professional with their work.

They worked non stop without any breaks.

We had stairs, so while moving the stuff, they were very careful.

Wrapped all the items well.

Couldn’t have asked for a better serivce.

Will certainly use them again in 7 months time.

Thank you my moovers

Cheers

We booked our move with Shiny over the phone with ease as they always are, full of promises (which did not get delivered)
We booked an 8 ton truck for 3 br double storey house (as advised on the website)
However only a 6 tonne truck arrived (with some excuse of it being broken down)
We were assured everything would fit in the truck
We asked to not pay for extra travel time should the 2nd load not fit
It was a 40 degree day and we wanted to finish the move before it got too hot
They started at 9.30am and were excruciatingly slow
We did not supervise them as we trusted them to move at a reasonable pace (and nor should we have to).
After 3 hours the truck fit 80% of the load and needed an unwanted extra trip on 40 degree day, unloading took 1.5 hours. Finally they got back for rest of the load.
I poured my frustration out to “manager” Alex? Anil? Over the phone and he was plain rude. I said I could’ve loaded the stuff myself on the truck quicker to which he said “why did you not do it yourself” he also said it was my responsibility to not let them work in 40 deg heat. If it wasn’t for the double trip and slow loading/unloading we could have finished the move by 1pm. He also told my husband why we didn’t stop the move if they were slow/terrible. And said what have we been doing all day
It seems very rude for a person who works in moving business to not understand that moving is stressful even without the issues.
Also he would not apologise for sending the incorrect size truck
Took us 30 mins over the phone to ask for discount
7 hour to move 3 bdr house. Alex? Would not let us explain (as he was talking over us) to why we wanted the discount. We paid for 5 and also tipped the workers as they said the company takes discount from their pay.

Worst moving experience ever!!!!
Worst customer service ever!!

**BEWARE THIS COMPANY** After efficient service booking the job in (you get SMSs, emails, phone calls every day asking you to confirm the job, which I did), we had My Moovers booked to move us on a Friday at 4pm. Receive a phone call at 3:30pm saying they are running late and will need to start at 6pm. 6:15pm they ring and advise they will need to cancel and try to reschedule me to 4pm the following day. I replied that I wanted them to start earlier as we would already be 24 hours behind otherwise. They rang back and agreed to start at 11am. Got a phone call at 11am saying that they wouldn't be able to start until 12:30pm. Two men and too-small-for-my-checklist truck arrive at 12:15pm and complained and moaned the entire move. My partner ended up doing a third of the moving furniture himself! We were told by Sunny when booking that the men would have blankets, packing paper, ropes etc. for moving.. They had barely anything. We had to borrow things from a neighbour to get the furniture packed up! Pretty much every time we walked past them moving our own things, they were standing around looking hopeless or leaning on furniture waiting for instructions. When we got to the other end, one of the guys in the truck actually had the audacity to call out to me and my husband to "come help carry the boxes and unpack the truck"! Of course we did it because a) we wanted the job done, and b) we're not lazy and useless. At the end of the move, they tried to charge me full price. I said no, we had spoken to the manager the previous day and were advised there would be a discounted price. He rang the office and got $40 knocked off the price. $40! THEY charge $50 if a customer cancels within 24 hours. I really wish I had stood my ground and countered more but everyone's emotions are wrung and we just want the day over with.
This company is unethical, the workers are lazy and defiant - and cheeky! One of them asked my husband for a cash tip for having to carry the furniture up and down stairs! When it had already been advised in the checklist that you fill out that there are stairs in both places you are moving to and from. Excruciating experience and I cannot state strongly enough that you need to steer clear of My Moovers!
And it's only upon more thorough review researching online and reading up have we found others have been just as unhappy! Wish we hadn't been in such a rush in the first place. And what company has at the bottom of their emails:
"* We will not entertain any complaints once the drivers leaves the premises of either the pick up or drop off location.
* Vehicle check has been performed by the customer at the end of the job or any complaints will not be entertained."

RED FLAG RED FLAG RED FLAG!

Moved my elderly mother to a smaller apartment on Boxing Day. Could not fault them! Was a bit later than scheduled but they kept in contact to tell me. Hot day and we asked them to move things to 3 different addresses due to downsizing. One item in particular was very heavy and needed to be taken through a window to get out; heavy pots needed to be carried upstairs to a balcony. Nothing was a problem for them. Very impressed and would definitely use again.

I used My Moovers on the 11th of December 2017. The booking process was quick and simple. I made the booking through Shiny from the company. I made it very clear that the destination address would require living room + kitchen appliances and furniture to be moved up a flight of stairs. Shiny reassured me that their experienced movers would be able to complete the job and if the stairs proved to be a problem, they removalists would be able to do a balcony lift. The destination address was a two-storey townhouse. I received a call a day before the move telling me that the movers could only start between "10:30am-11:00am" instead of the original 7:00am. I said that this was fine as I only had two bedroom's worth of items. The movers arrived at 11:30am and asked if they could start at 12pm instead.

When the movers arrived at my new address, they realised that they wouldn't be able move my sofas up the stairs due to the space constraints. When queried about how they would take it over the balcony, they said they had to make a call to their office to 'get equipment for it'. When the lead removalist got off the phone, he said that I would have to hire a fork lift or a crane to do the job and that the company did not have suitable equipment, despite what Shiny had told me. Furthermore, the 'fleet manager' at My Moovers said that he had "no idea why Shiny would have told me that in the first place".

At the end of the day, none of my furniture made it to the second storey, marks were left on the wall of my newly painted house and that took 5 hours and cost me $550.

I did also find it really interesting that the second removalist who was meant to have a minimum of two years experience, as stated on their website, spoke no English and had only arrived in Australia one month ago. He hailed from India and I'm guessing that work experience there totally counts, right?
