This business is now located on Woodville Road. I like the calm atmosphere and heard good things about this restaurant so I decided to visit. Service was fairly slow, understandably because it was a bit busy and we were seated upstairs. Serving sizes were huge but the broken rice combination was quite a let down - very flavourless and came with no sauce or soup. However, the coconut and mango ice cream was amazing!

I'll be back next time for the dessert and perhaps will try the pho.

I come here as it's newly renovated and pretty. Their food is consistent and I believe as close to traditional Vietnamese as they can make it. I mean the name is Vietnamese, so I would think that the food is the same.
They do have a couple of dishes that are a bit difficult to make at home, so I come for these as well as the traditional beef noodle and their classic dessert style drinks. Ie Three colour bean or the Sam Bo Leung.
Recommended for those who love Vietnamese food

I have been here twice in 2013 and the food has been amazing. Huge serves, incredibly cheap, great service (don't like an ingredient, discuss with staff & they will usually change it). The place is always packed (with lots of Asians which is a good sign); it's a bit of a hidden gem in the middle of suburbia. It's not far from Woodville and Regency Park. Check it out!

Thanks, I think we will check it out. Huge serves, cheap and great service - can't go wrong.

Similarly to others, I agree that this is a hidden gem. Great priced meals with extremely generous pricing. A must for those who enjoy traditional Vietnamese cuisine.

I had been driving past this place for years, not ever taking notice. On the outside it is a run down building ... but inside ...
it is a real gem!!

Fortunately for me (and my gf) a couple of good friends took us here. I am still so impressed a few weeks later and am planning on going back tonight.

We bought one dish for the 4 of us call 7 beef dishes. Which is as the name suggests 7 dishes of beef. This my friends told me is the signature dish of the restaurant. Anyways, we only got to 6.5 dishes. Oh, and don't worry there are plenty of vegetables with the beef.
Really it is a 3 course meal for 4 ppl:
- 1st meal is a delicious salad with beef
- Main meal (composing of 5 beef dishes) you cook yourself on your own table with a little gas cooker, you wrap the meats up in rice paper and make awesome cold rolls (like spring rolls).
- Final course can you get up to it, is a very yummy beef soup.

Also have to mention they have exoctic smoothies which are real blended fruit for $4 each (I bought 3 with my gf) I remember mango, avocado, lychee, durian, ...

Approximate cost: $20

This is the BEST Vietnamese ever! I love the make-them-yourself cold rolls and the steam boat is fun. I had my 30th birthday there and I paid for 15 people, drinks, everything. It cost me just over 30 dollars.

We regularly come here. However the last couple of times, it has been pretty average. They have increased the price of their food after their renovations, which is fair to cover costs. However, it seems their quality has dropped as well.

It is still a nice, cheap place to eat, but I know of other establishments who charge the same but is of a higher quality.

Approximate cost: $10.00

The pricing is somewhat moderate but the staff are vacuuming while we are eating...
The fresh pennywort juice is good though and as long as you stick to average meals like the beef noodles, it's okay value.

This place used to be one of my favourites. But it's gone downhill over the past 2 years since 120909.
The pho soup is tepid and not as hot as it should be. The serving sizes have decreased while the prices have gone up.
I wouldn't say no, but there are better Vietnamese places to eat

Approximate cost: $mod
