Not bad. Not bad indeed! Lots of things to choose from!
Their walls are so covered in everything, you would hate to be the cleaner for this place.
There is the chef's menu, which is kinda like a degustation of sorts. I quite enjoyed my time here

Went here with some friends for a special get together late last year. Loved the decor, it was like being in an old western saloon, the bar was spectacular, you really need to go here and experience it for yourself. We loved it!

As for our meals, we opted for a banquet as there were 6 of us and we wanted to try a few different meals. The duck breast with pate was divine as was the pork and salmon. All the meals were superb. None of us were capable of squeezing in a dessert but they certainly looked delicious and were around $14 each.

The staff were excellent, very attentive, never left waiting. We all had a wonderful memorable get together and we are all looking forward to returning for our next special occasion.

Approximate cost: $40pp for banquet

Sounds like a fabulous place to take my wife and friends for a special evening out.

Went here for a girlfriends hen's high tea celebration. The price of the high tea was comparable to other local establishments that offer high tea on a weekend. The food was fresh, the staff were professional but not overly friendly, which was a shame seeing that it was a special occasion. The establishment is nice and reasonably clean. Would probably not head here again for high tea though, as I have enjoyed other establishments more.

Two reviews in one. The first is just for the upstairs wine bar area. If you fancy a nice relaxing glass of wine in a room were you can hold a decent conversation this place is for you. A really nice selection of wine and great ambiance.
The restaurant is equally as pleasant, unfortunately the quality of the food is a let down. The tapas serves were good, but they just lacked flavour and I distinctly remember questioning the quality of lamb meat used in one of the dishes.
So, I recommend going for a drink, but book somewhere else for dinner!

This place is gorgeous, well worth a visit just to peruse the vintage apothecary display cabinets lining the walls.

I am a younger-looking girl, and I come to the Apothecary sometimes for a drink or cocktail in between dinner and the witching hour. But I suppose because I am not the Apothecary's usual demographic, I've found the staff to be a bit dismissive and one was bordering on rude.

But! That is a small thing. The apothecary has:
- a brilliant range of drinks. I like the sloe vodka, the traditional cocktails, and the well put together wine list.
- great atmosphere and
- a reputation for doing great food, which I plan to check out soon!

Beautiful restaurant - fantastic service and the food was phenomenal. We shared a banquet and a few bottles of nice wine. Great wine/spirits selection and the food was basically perfect. Excellent dining experience - not what you expect for Hindley Street but so worth a look!

Went there for drinks with a few guys and we loved the way they did up the place by depicting an apothecary back in the old days.. They have a good selection of wine and the waiter we had that night was very interactive, discussing and recommending which bottle we should go for.. Overall, I would go again.. of course, with the right people.
