The Drain Man went over and above just looking at our blocked drain. Once it was determined the problem was in the Yarra Valley Water part of the pipes they also repeatedly helped chase a reluctant YVW to actually own and fix the problem. Brendan, you were a star mate. Thanks for all your help!!

The professionalism of the personnel is beyond question. Every step of the process was explained patiently, courteously and clearly. The price is high but the value is evident. The garden and paving was respected during the various phases of the procedure. The resultant 'before and after' video provides solid evidence of the work carried out. I can see for myself the whole storm water system has been cleared of grass and tree roots. This means that I can actually see the level of service provided. An added bonus was the inspection of the suspended waste water PVC pipes under the house. Thankyou 'The Drain Man'.

I was quoted a call-out fee of minimum $396 for the first hour. $176 for every half-hour thereafter. I was able to solve my drainage problem for much less by looking elsewhere.
Thanks, The Drain Man, for correcting my terminology. You charge a minimum fee of $396, even if the problem is solved in less than an hour. This seems to me to be a rather large amount of money. My drainage problem was completely solved - for considerably less money.
Hi Barryl, thanks for letting us know that. We are glad to hear that you got your problem solved and that you were happy with the outcome. We trust you also got a camera inspection done and the other plumber showed you before and after footage of the blockage to confirm it had been cleared fully and properly and that there were no other problems in the drain that were likely to cause the blockage to recur. Some plumbers simply put a machine in the drain, run it until the water all goes away and then say "there, your blockage is cleared" but if the drain has major cracks, breaks or other damage or has tree roots in it, often the machine just punches enough of a hole through the tree roots to let the water get away. Then in 3 or 6 or 9 months, the tree roots grow back and you're up for another cost to get the plumber back out again. Often this goes on for years until someone gets a camera inspection done which reveals the true state of the drain and the right solution to fix it. We trust this scenario doesn't apply to you. Once again, thank you for giving us the opportunity to at least speak to you about the job.

The shower was blocked and I had tried to clear it without success, rang The Drain Man. Kieran rang to say he was on his way. Kieran arrived, surveyed the situation, found the blockage, fixed the problem. I paid, Kieran left. I now have no blockage, cleaned drains, plan of drainage system, detailed video of drains, no mess, no problems, no worries. Job done. Excellent.

I can not recommend this plumber, they r overpriced...could not do the job I requested even though I explained to the receptionist why I needed the plumbing done to put a HAIRDRESSING basin and run it through..did not come the date arranged..had to ring again a second time..arranged after 12appt..because I wasn't going to be there,,they arrived after 11..and started the job...with only my staff there that was no wiser...blamed me for not being there cause apparently they called me...I must have been driving...after complaining of the job (I believe )to the owner that it was a useless job to be cause I can't attach the HAIRDRESSING basin..He said I was rude...should have understood the plumbing lingo and that they didn't do..all types of plumbing e.g...not my need..which I would have asked the plumber before he started. OWNER said he would refund my money as he could deal with people that didn't want to pay for the job...almost 1year on...haven't had the money refunded and haven't had the job I wanted...I agree...they are money grabbers, not about doing a job...it's a money grabbing business...it's a love of money. Tomorrow, I will call them again...see about my refund so I can one day pay for the correct plumber to do the right job...time taken 1 1/2hrs.

We used the Drain Man for a drainage issue in relation to our business. I would never use them again and would not recommend them to anyone. They are unprofessional and overpriced. They are more focussed on being paid than doing a good job. They diagnosed a problem and the price to quoted fix the problem was at least double what we paid once we shopped around and used a plumber.

Agree, feel we were ripped off by this company.Took all day to find a piece of tile blocking pipe just 3 metre down inspection opening.Cost $2000 then quoted another $4000 to fix pipe.Do not use this company
We had a sewage pipe that blocked. It proved to be very inconvenient and difficult to access. Jerry diagnosed the problem with John Fox also attending to maintain oversight. Subsequently we chose to have The Drainman go ahead with the work and Adam and Dave arrived on time and undertook to insertion of the lining. John Fox arrived again to provide a level of management oversight and confirm the diagnosis was correct and being properly fixed. Through our dealing with the Drain man we also spoke a number of times to the women (Danny and Shantelle) on the phones who were really helpful, courteous and a pleasure to do business with. All the plumbers who attended were similarly well mannered, courteous and very easy and professional to deal with. Our experience with everyone involved was a pleasure and their expertise was obvious to see. The added bonus was the care they took and the pride they had in their workmanship to ensure a long lasting and quality job. Our thanks to all involved.

Gav, was great and we were able to get the problem fixed within half a day, which in turn saved my bacon as to lose the next day or work in our shop would have been awful.
