The Vegie Bar has an excellent choice of healthy & interesting selections. We have been back a number of times & each has been an experience. It's longevity is proof of it's high quality food & service.

sensational food, you cant book it is so busy! best meal is the burrito. eat there regularly.. just wish they would have more variety in the daily specials (since i eat there so often). great concept for vegetarians. love it!

The food is absolutely awesome. There's so much you can do with vegetarian food and this place proves it. It's got a cool atmosphere and is packed on weekends. The only downfall is the grumpy waiting staff, but that's not all of them...just the females mostly, but maybe each time I go they are having an off day!

This place is pretty good. I'm not a vegetarian but I've frequented the restaurant on many occasions and I've enjoyed it. They've also got organic beer which compliments the vegetarian theme :)

Such a great veggie restaurant. probably my favourite one ever. and delicious, with lots of variety. highly recommend. GREAT value for money, which is pretty hard to come by in Melbourne.

Im actually not a vegetarian but got dragged here by a friend who is and I must say it was amazing.

I never thought a pizza without some form of meat would hit the spot but this place seriously knows how to make a veggie pizza.

Cant recommend it highly enough and I actually felt good about myself after eating pizza for once.

Definitely worth checking out.

As a vegan I LOVE The Vegie Bar! It is always packed, so busy, because it's crazy popular. So many of my friends and family love the food too and love to go. As it's always busy the service can sometimes be a little lack lustre, but I'll get over it for that vegan pizza and rice balls!! mmmm

We frequent the Vegie Bar on a very regular basis because it never fails us when we want a good, reliable, solid, wholesome meal.
There is much to choose from on the menu - and for us vegans, that is a REAL bonus! I think between our vegan family (three of us), we have tried pretty much everything vegan on the menu and have loved all the dishes - although I think the pizzas are a favourite and are totally delish! AND... it is a rare night that I don't order the vegan chocolate cake with soy ice cream - my god, it truly finishes off the meal and I don't need to eat at all the next day!
We have been there at all times - morning, noon, late afternoon and night and the place is always jumping with a great vibe and loads of people. So, the chances of sharing one of the large tables with others happens often - but that is the charm of the place and people always smile, say "hi" and shuffle over to make room - very European and is what makes this funky place special.
The staff are friendly and attentive and are happy to explain your menu options. Even on the busiest of nights, there is not a huge wait for your food - and credit must go to the kitchen and staff who keep the place going like a well oiled machine. You are served your food in excellent time and you never feel rushed to eat and leave despite the busyness of the place. To linger over coffee, cake and a book/magazine is welcomed.
We have eaten there so often now I have lost count and can honestly say we have never had a bad experience there.
We highly recommend it for an energetic bustling vibe and great veggie/vegan food!

Fav place in Melbourne, good selection on menu, super yummy food, big quantities, never had dessert all ways too full. Wraps are great but love the gado gado, my husband loves the pizzas.
