My husband and I went to the Vegie Bar with a friend of ours for Anzac Day lunch and it was great (as usual) I got the house salad with rice balls -- it's SO much food, wonderful flavours -- a mixture of raw, semi-cooked and cooked veg, I LOVE it and a total bargain at like $12.50! My husband got the Burrito -- which has a wonderful filling, sits atop brown rice and is served with chips, gaucamole & sour cream (you can get vegan if you want) for only $15. He ate it all up and loved it (as usual!) And our friend ordered the Bahn Mi (vietnamese styled sandwich) which had faux sliced beef (satay flavoured) and she love it. She said it was really nice! A great place to eat if you're vegetarian / vegan and at an amazing value! If you're veg or vegan and haven't tried, it's a must go for you!!!

This restaurant serves delicious food. Great choices on offer, it's hard to pick just one meal! Must try the vegetarian nachos! Great selection of fresh drinks. A real vegetarians dream. Service isn't the best at times, but still worth checking out.
Also they don't take bookings which is frustrating because you can get turned away if it's packed out (which is often)!

Such a fresh, tasty and healthy place to stop by and have a meal at. Very good range of meals at reasonable prices. Back bar is pretty cute, as is the beer garden.

healthy and flavorsome meals at an affordable price. such a large selection on the menu to choose from. i have been 4 times and tried a different meal each time and have not been disappointed! the smoothies, juices and desserts are also to die for!

Have been eating here for several years and I will also keep visiting. No matter how many years go by, Vegie Bar still manages to provide fresh, wholesome and good value meals to Melbournians within a social, open space. Some favourites; Their flour-less Chocolate cake, Gyoza, and check out the Wine / drinks bar at the back of the venue!

The food is MAGNIFICENT the PRICES are good.
Food is FRESHLY COOKED ... nestled in the middle of Brunswick St where there are trams galore. Parking can be tight.
Atmosphere is cool ad there bench seating is relaxed.

Really casual, relaxed dining. Honest, tasty food. Love the atmosphere of the place, it's always buzzing! The curries are delicious as is the flourless chocolate cake.

You really cant fault this place...I have eaten here so many times and never had anything but the best in all areas. Service always happy and helpful, the food is just out of this world! Always changing the specials menu and all dishes are quite inexpensive. Can get very very busy, but thats just how good this place is!

Great food. Can get really busy at times so expect a bit of a wait. Definitely worth it though. It's great if you can get a group together as they will let you make a booking. I think the minimum is 6 for a booking.

This is one of my fav places to have lunch.

Its quick, yummy and cheap! I normally buy a fresh juice and a meal and it doesn't even come to $20. I love the tacos and the stirfrys but there is so much to choose from!!

Sometimes you need to wait for a table but the line is always moving.
