I am not a vegetarian, so maybe I just don't get it.
I was there on a weekend and had a booking but the wait for service then the subsequent wait for the food was bad enough that we almost left. on top of that, they mucked up our order and tried to convince us that we should just deal with it rather than get what we asked for.
The food was average the only thing that we ordered that I really enjoyed was the sticky date pudding, which I have to say was very good!
Overall does not live up to the hype

had a great dinner here with friends- the bar is perfect for waiting for a table and was enjoyable to sit and chill in. food was as expected not amazing- but perfect for anyone with allergy concerns.

These guys are booking nazis. If only the vegan pizza and chocolate cake weren't so good! The curries are usually pretty bland, but the Mostly Greens and Gado Gado are always lovely and fresh.

I'm usually not into vegetarian meals, but The Vegie Bar has changed my mind. The pizza menu is so delicious and the Kofta balls are my favourite entree. The price is reasonable and I love the relaxed athmospehere. Must try.

A good option for a nice big vegie meal in fitzroy. The food quality is good - not amazing. The menu has a good variety and is decently priced. Always busy, rarely unhappy after a meal!

Fresh, Delicious food that feeds the soul....great range of vegetarian food and very tasty. One of my favorite eateries! The smoothies are so good too and you have to try the roti bread with dips as a starter

Although this place is ALWAYS crowded, I am always prepared to wait, its well worth it. The service is actually great once you get a seat, and the food is fantastic. It's brilliant for vegetarians and even non-veggos always enjoy their meal! Highly recommended!

I love this place & I'd go there far more often if I lived on north side of town. It does get very busy which is an indication of how popular it is. they have a nice bar area away from the main eating area where you can wait for a table. They are very efficient with coming to get you and seating you as quickly as possible when a table becomes available

I really enjoyed going to the veggie bar. I am not a vegetarian however most of the food there is so yummy it doesn't matter that it doesn't include meat. Prices are quite good. I guess because you're not paying for meat it makes it cheaper. Service can be slow at times. It is usually always busy so if you get there around 7.30pm on a weekend then expect to be waiting for a table.

They have really nice food and the portion sizes are adequate, however they are always very busy and the place is usually crowded. Great for a quick eat but they seem to like to get you in and out as soon as possible plus its also very loud most times, so it's not a great place for a catch up or date.
