For domestic flights this is the only airline we use. They're mostly on time and handle kids well and when travelling with 3 as I usually do, this is important for me.

Edit:- I didnt see that this was for Brisbane....my experience below is for Melbourne!

We had to send our teenage son on an interstate trip and as this was his first flight alone we were a bit worried about how he'd go!! Ultimately, the staff were absolutely terrific in allaying our concerns (much to our son's embarrassment! hehehe).

I find the Internet is a great resource for buying tickets, checking flight details, destinations etc - very convenient. But even though you can do all that for yourself, we found that Virginblue still offer friendly reliable service where and when it counts - and they took great care of our son!

For a local airline I think Virgin are the best in australia currently. I have flown from Melbourne to all capital cities and some rural locations and found the prices to be better than qantas and they seemed to fly on time more frequently than qantas. being able to print boarding pass from home is great, especially for frequent travelers who just want to get to the airport at the last minute.

Travelling with a young baby I found Virgin fantastic. Very helpfull, held bubs while I got organised. Carried nappy bag etc for me. Very friendly and always smiling.

All good except I was 3 minutes late to check in and was denied entry even tho the plane was still there and the doors werent shut. I travelling by myself with my 4 month old baby and had no luggage to check in and could not undersatnd why I could not board. I had to pay an extra $50 to catch the next plane and was left waiting another 90 minutes with a tired baby.

I flew from Melbourne to Sydney with Virgin and found that the staff were really friendly. Much better value for money than some other airlines. I would defininately fly with them again. Flight departed in times for both legs which is the most important

This is what I call service with a smile...the crew is very friendly and fantastic…they also create a very positive atmosphere which makes everyone on board feel comfortable. Would I fly with Virgin Blue Airlines again...without any second thought..!

Out of the two budget options available right now, Virgin Blue beats Jetstar by a million miles. That's not to say they're great, just the best of a ropey bunch (all two of them!). At least they're mostly on time and arrive when they say they'll arrive. Still - you do pay a little more than Jetstar for this "privilege". Looking forward to the cosy budget duopoly being opened up a little more this year. Bring on the competition!

Virgin Blue, a cheap way to travel, but that doesn't mean you get no service! Recently flew Melbourne to Cairns, the hosties were full of fun (even at 11.30pm!), the Captain kept regular updates, food was good value and foxtel free to air on the TV (Not sure if this occurs on all flights...as it was a malfunction!). Travel times were on-time and no delays. No need to pay exoberant amounts to fly, when you get a comfortable trip with Virgin Blue.
