As far as hotels are concerned, the Lion is among the best for the quality and range of food, and service. Originally bought to our attention with their 'beer and burger' meal deal advertisements, we have visited it several times since. Their tomato and goats curt tart is delicious, although they're known for their high quality steaks (my boyfriend agrees!). Definitely worth dropping in for a meal and a drink.

The Belair Hotel has a few different dining options - you can order your own meal from the menu, and you can just order the self-serve smorgass board. We opted for the latter, as the price was good and the selection of food/freshness and quality of food looked reasonable. They have a variety of dishes to choose from - roast meats and vegetables, chinese stir fries, salads, and a selection of deep fried options. I stuck with the salad bar for the most part, my boyfriend tried it all though, and was reasonably impressed by the quality.
Sosta prepares wonderful authentic Argentinian food and is one of my boyfriends favorite restaurants, particularly due to their charcoal grilled beef. The service is excellent and the quality of food is exceptional - the prices are high (but their value is good as the portion sizes are so large!). If you're a carnivore, then this would rate as one of the top restaurants in Adelaide, so check it out!

Belgian Beer Cafe - just hearing the name makes my wallet feel lighter! They have a delicious range of international beers, and even the glasses are exquisite (so good in fact that for some of them, you have to leave ID at the bar to ensure you don't steal them!). Prices are extremely high, with some beers costing almost $20 for a pint - lucky I'm not really a fan of bee! They make a nice cone of chips too :P
OK, so I may be a bit biast here, as Hong Fat speciaizes in meat dishes whereas I'm a vegetarian, and their vegetarian menu consists of only three or four dishes. Their bean curd with rice was nice, and my partner thoroughly enjoyed his roast duck with rice. Their prices are extremely low considering the quality of their food - as though they're competing with the international food court around the corner rather than other stand alone restaurants. Good service, tasty food, great price!
San Giorgio is a bit of a hit and miss in my experience. On occasion, they serve fresh pizzas with stacks of toppings, and on other occasions their pizzas seem a bit stale and scant with the toppings. Service is good, although they take a while to get the pizzas out, so be prepared to relax with a drink while you wait.
Royal Tandoori doesn't fall into any designated food districts but stands alone - and it also stands alone in quality! The food is always fresh and delicious, and they have a large range of authentic cuisine. Their tandoori capsicum was absolutely amazing, being stuffed with cottage cheese and potato. They also do a wonderful chana masala. Service is excellent, value is excellent, food is excellent!

Zangol is a rather unique restaurant in Adelaide, as it's the only one to my knowledge which serves authentic African cuisine. When you walk through the doors you get a feeling for it's authenticity, with wonderfully colourful decorations adorning the restaurant. The service was excellent and the staff were very friendly, the prices were also surprisingly low, which is amazing considering the quality of food. Highly recommended.
Fortuna Court is often very busy, probably because their food is delicious! The service wasn't great, but the staff seemed very friendly, which made up for it. Unfortunately they don't have a very large variety of vegetarian dishes, although their monk style vegetables were very tasty and rather unique. Definitely worth visiting!

The Bushmans Inn surprised me with the quality of their food and the swift, friendly service. Each dish my group ordered was near perfect.... fish & chips, butter chicken, grilled barramundi and shepherds pie, all of the finest quality. The staff were super friendly, and all stopped to have a chat, including the chef. They also had a nice range of cakes for dessert, and made a nice espresso coffee to go with it. Couldn't recommend it more!!
